July 25, 2012 at 9:55 pm #34889This show is SO fucking GOOD.
Am I the only one that doesn’t really like Skyler?
August 14, 2012 at 3:18 pm #36767Just so everyone knows, there’s a pretty good subreddit that is continuously updated with conspiracy theories, memes, etc about Breaking Bad…
August 14, 2012 at 4:08 pm #36771You are warned…season 5 spoilers below…
Is anyone else freaking out over the episode a couple of weeks ago where Walter raped Skyler? I’ve see in referred to obliquely, but nobody really seems to be talking about it. Did I somehow misinterpret things?
Also…any thoughts on how they are going to end this mini-season?
August 14, 2012 at 4:19 pm #36772Hmm, I guess i didn’t pick up on the rape scene either. Their relationship, if you can call it that, has been super fascinating to watch this season though. I keep thinking he’s going to end up killing her. Before she can spill the beans to Hank.
What about that final scene in this week’s episode? What do you think was the significance of the tarantula?
August 14, 2012 at 4:28 pm #36774Their relationship has been a trip and a half. I think it’s equally possible she will turn him in, it’s not ending well for sure. He wasn’t wearing a wedding ring at the S5 opening flash forward, but he was using her maiden name. If you re-watch the episode from three weeks ago, when he crawls into bed with her and is “reassuring” her (creepy noisy kisses and all), he leans back and takes off the tighty whities under the covers, then does something that makes her flinch. It’s subtle, but creeped me the f out.
I thought the tarantula was just one of their cool “we love the desert” shots. Could it be symbolic of Walter – scary ass spider, trapped in a jar of his own making? Either way, of he’d cut the robbery when Mike told him to, they might have chilled out a bit before the kid showed up, which may have altered the ending.
August 15, 2012 at 7:44 pm #36921i can’t wait for next episode. here in austin, alamo drafthouse cinema shows it every sunday at the same time it’s shown at amc; they play the previous episode and the new… the energy in the movie theater is amazing! http://drafthouse.com/movies/tv_at_the_alamo_breaking_bad/austin
August 17, 2012 at 9:20 am #37111Ooh, that sounds awesome! I’ve wanted to go there since they turned that angry voicemail from a not-overly-bright patron into a “don’t call/text in our theater or we’ll kick you out” ad.
