There was some talk about planning another meetup, but nothing was planned. I’m impatient (and have lots of free time on my hands), so I thought I’d go ahead and plan it! Plus, Katie from Colorado is now a Chicagoan (yay!), so a meetup is more necessary than ever. It’s “necessarier,” if you will.
I conferred with several of you and have concluded that SATURDAY, MAY 19th is a winner (for the majority of you). If you can’t come this day, I’m really sorry – but plan another one and I am there with bells on!
So here are the details for our third Chicago meetup:
When: Saturday, May 19th, from 2:00 pm until forever (or until the bar closes)
Where: The Crossing in Southport, http://www.crossingtavern.com/
Why: To day drink on a patio, a favorite Chicago pastime
Goal: To get drunk and spill all our secrets – or just have a good time, whatever
Disclaimer: I’d like to point out that The Crossing is MaterialsGirl’s idea. Why am I “throwing her under the bus,” so to speak? Well, because after we agreed on this beer garden in the adorable Southport neighborhood-within-a-neighborhood, I learned it’s a University of Kansas bar (gag me – Mizzou rules all), so I want no credit for it. Unless of course it turns out to be the coolest beer garden ever, in which case it was my idea…but Mizzou still rules all. That’s all, carry on.
