Good luck jlyfish! I’ve been trying to learn to run as well – I ran some in high school because I had to for tennis, but I’ve always just used an elliptical when I’m doing cardio for the sake of cardio. I’ve always enjoyed strength training a lot more than any kind of cardio, anyway, so this will be a challenge… I’m hoping to do a 5K in October, but we’ll see how that goes!
Re: yoga – I really like the half pigeon stretch. I use it every time I finish any kind of leg/hip workout and it does seem to prevent any tightness or soreness in my hips.
