Okay, I’m way behind on this show but I just started watching and it’s awesome! Anyone else watching it?
April 5, 2012 at 3:32 pm #20135Ive seen season 1 but not season 2. Im waiting for the season to finish before i watch because im not patient enough to wait for new episodes after i start lol.
April 5, 2012 at 3:39 pm #20138Ha! I watch tv like that too!
April 5, 2012 at 5:18 pm #20150I also plan to rewatch the first season before I start season 2 because it’s been almost a year now that I saw it. I’d also like to get into the books but I haven’t had (or made) the time for it.
April 5, 2012 at 6:01 pm #20154@Brad I highly suggest doing that. My husband and I watched it Sunday. I had forgotten so much and he’s read the books and I haven’t so I kept annoying him with wait, who is that, which side are they on questions the whole time, haha. I’ve been watching last season all week so I remember more for this week!
And Lindsey I love this series. It’s nice because it’s a show my husband and I both really get in to and enjoy talking about!
April 6, 2012 at 12:46 am #20164Oh God your poor bf! People talking during new shows drives me bonkers, haha. And it’s a premium show so there’s no commercial breaks either, which is when I normally ask people to save their comments questions for.
I also have the new season of Spartacus to get caught up on.
April 6, 2012 at 11:33 am #20172yeah he was a tiny bit annoyed
i promised to catch up and not have a repeat of that this week!April 9, 2012 at 1:48 pm #20452I really like this show. I enjoyed season 1 much more because now I read the books before season 2 came out. I still like it but my reasons for why have definitely changed. Peter Dinklage is just fantastic, and I can’t wait to watch Cersei unravel.
April 10, 2012 at 1:26 pm #20703we actually upped our cable package so we can watch Season 2 after getting the first season to watch! Fiance read the books before we watched, and i’m trying to read while we’re watching..
April 10, 2012 at 1:32 pm #20704I just power-read the series up to date. And do watch the TV show. I’d love to pick other readers brains and vice versa to kill time until book 6….in like 10 years…but as I desire to discuss it in full I think that a new thread should be started with a huge *spoilers* indication, haha.
April 10, 2012 at 1:33 pm #20705i seriously need to read them quickly then lol.. plus my fiance is just busting to tell me stuff, and i wont let him until i’ve either read or watched it myself!
April 10, 2012 at 1:36 pm #20707I’m DYING to talk about it, haha. Most of the books are still fresh in my mind…read it all within 3 weeks. My roommates are all “NOOOOO DON’T TELL ME” and I’m like…….ok
April 10, 2012 at 1:57 pm #20711I hate spoilers too. I prefer to watch it before I read it as the book is always better so if I read the better version first I won’t be able to like the movie. Plus by watching it first I learn how to pronounce everyone’s name and I can put a face and voice to each.
April 10, 2012 at 2:25 pm #20713it’s definitely a reverse situation for me. Normally i like to read the book before watching any movie/tv (though i’m pretty critical of whatever comes out..) but this is a bit different. from what i’ve read so far, they’re sticking pretty close to the story. plus watching the show helps me organize all the characters. so many!
April 11, 2012 at 6:28 pm #20970I am not really into the show, but the books seem interesting, whats the general premiss/plot of them…i am compiling a list of books that i want read over the summer. I have read a lot of Michael Crichton (well he passed a few years a go, so sad!), Stephen King, general fantasy and science fiction, i also really enjoyed LOTR. And so i would think Games of Thrones would be a natural move for books similar to LOTR. Any insight would be great:)
