Soooooooooo anyone else still watch shows on Nick?? Hahaha.
Avatar is still one of my favorite shows ever. I thought the animation was very beautiful, along with the whole world they created, AND the story was awesome. To this day I can’t pick ONE favorite character because I like too many of them so much (it’s kinda a tie between Iroh, Zuko, Azula, Toph, and Sokka). M. Night ruined the movie, but once I heard they were making a sequel I got excited again. So I’m more than pumped about Korra, especially because she looks so freakin’ badass! I can only hope that I’m not getting my expectations up too high.April 1, 2012 at 12:18 am #19776
I love Avatar with a passion!!!
When I heard Korra was coming out, I liked and shared it on Facebook so that the page would get 10000 likes and the pilot would be released on the Internet for a weekend. When it did, I cheered and watched the episodes over and over till they got locked again. Of course, now that means I have to wait three weeks for a new episode, but at least I’ll get to watch the pilot on a bigger screen than my laptop.
Korra is an awesome new Avatar!April 1, 2012 at 7:01 pm #19793
I LOVE avatar: the last airbender:D I watched the whole series twice, and laughed each time, i really do love Sokka, he was just so funny! The animation and dialogue was really great, excited to see how the new avatar turn out, hopefully as good:)April 1, 2012 at 10:51 pm #19800
Ok, I love Avatar, and I am so excited for The Legend of Korra- I only got to see the pilot and I can’t wait to see the first episode.April 10, 2012 at 12:52 pm #20694
for the pilot, was it a back to back episode, because i found the pilot as well as another episode where she watches/plays in the pro-bender games….i can post the link if any of you are interested, its online though, so not sure about everyone’s position is on watching TV online…April 10, 2012 at 1:07 pm #20700
Also, they’ve got the premiere on iTunes for free. In HD! So you can really appreciate how great of a job they’re doing with the animation, especially in the second episode. I think it’s gonna be up for free until it airs on Saturday (SO CLOOOOOSE!!!).April 10, 2012 at 1:16 pm #20701
I tried getting into Avatar but I don’t like kid humor at all and the show just annoyed me. Same reason why the Star Wars prequels aren’t so good. Idk I’m just really picky when it comes to fantasy. I prefer it to be serious. Little bits of humor here and there, like Gimli and Legolas fighting over who could kill more, is OK with me but any more than that is detracting for me.April 10, 2012 at 2:37 pm #20716
Brad: Uh. Thank you for sharing your indifference to a show that wasn’t even aimed towards your demographic in the first place.
Cleopatra_30: The entire pilot is indeed downloadable for free on iTunes, so get you some of that while it’s still free! I know I did!
Jaybro: Yes. I can’t believe there are only four more days till it premieres on television, where I can watch the glorious fight scenes on a screen bigger than my laptop’s!April 10, 2012 at 4:11 pm #20737
@Brad: You might want to try Korra, even if you didn’t like Avatar. The main character is older (17 instead of 12), so while there are still some funny bits, they’re not as in-your-face silly as the other one started out as. Besides, the creators have already said that this is going to be a lot darker and more mature.
@Colloquielle: Ugh, yes!! I’ve watched them like four times each because I can’t control my obsession, but on such small screens! I WANT TO SEE THE EPICNESS ON AN EPIC SCALE!!! Korra is just so boss, I can’t handle it.April 11, 2012 at 12:38 pm #20923
@Colloquielle: Yes Avatar is definitely not aimed to Brad’s demographic, but it isn’t aimed at us 20+ year old’s either, Its from the Nickelodeon channel, so it was meant for kids 6-11 to watch.
Just because he doesn’t agree with us on how awesome the show is, at least he tried to watch it, so regardless, he is allowed to voice his opinion
@Brad: I LOVE the bantering between Legolas and Gimli, they are so funny together, kind of like an old couple:P But most definitely agree that if any more humor had been added the movies would have been ruined, they are a dark and serious trilogy, and kept true to the spirit of the books. Now i need to watch them all after i am done exams! And SUPER excited for The Hobbit to come out! I watched some production clips on RottenTomatoes, looks great already:DApril 14, 2012 at 12:24 pm #21308
GUH. JUST WATCHED THE PREMIERE ON TV. ANIMATION SO AMAZING NOT ON MY LAPTOP. Now I am REALLY dying for episode 3 since the first two have been fueling me for weeks now and I no longer have the anticipation of the official premiere to keep me going! Hahaha.May 17, 2012 at 12:47 am #26552
Did anyone watch episode 6, “And the Winner Is…”? It was so intense that I wondered how it aired with a Y7 rating.June 17, 2012 at 5:52 pm #30466
