So what did you think? I liked seeing Joan so real.
March 26, 2012 at 11:55 am #18721Fantastic. Just the welcome back I was looking for. Addiepray and I had a good time and I pumped her full of cocktails!
March 26, 2012 at 12:14 pm #18728I loved the epidode. I was expecting more pizzazz but now I’m not sure why – it was a good welcome back episode just like MaterialsGirls said. I was sorry Betty didn’t make an appearance. Btw, I can’t believe they killed off her character!! …. (oops, sorry to those who haven’t seen it yet – I said too much…)
But this is what I liked the most: MaterialsGirl’s cocktails. Really, can you make them for me always? I cabbed home afterwards and slept 8.5 hours. I *never* *ever* sleep more than 6 hours – so I guess I owe it those wonderful cocktails.
March 26, 2012 at 12:20 pm #18732Well, what about the rest of you? I need to see where they are taking this Don/Megan thing – I’m not so sure how excited about it I am.
March 26, 2012 at 1:36 pm #18748I kinda like that she’s actually can manipulate don. I find it refreshing. I also want to see if we character grows more into a dr faye type or not.
March 26, 2012 at 1:54 pm #18757I think the age difference is going to play a part. Her cleaning in lingerie and saying that Don doesn’t deserve to have any of her. I guess the forceful way of how they had sex kind of turned me off some. I like how Pete is attacking Roger and talking about all the accounts he’s pulling in. I was disappointed that Lane is still with his wife and not with the black girl.
March 26, 2012 at 4:27 pm #18830More shirtless Don! More Shirtless Don. We want MORE SHIRTLESS DON.
March 26, 2012 at 5:31 pm #18843I fell asleep watching it! Gotta watch it again tonight. I hope my falling asleep has more to do with being the mother of a 5 month old and not the show being boring. We shall see what happens when I watch it at a more humane hour this evening.
March 26, 2012 at 9:47 pm #18850Wendy, if Megan wrote into you after the party-or heck even before-what would your advice be? I tried to think WWDWD (what would Dear Wendy do) but couldn’t
March 26, 2012 at 10:22 pm #18855I enjoyed the episode. It was a tad drawn out, but goddamn did I miss those amazing costumes and set design. (Omg I want Joan’s dress!) Oh right, as far as the plot, I’m curious about this Megan character. I know there is some debate about her and whether she and Don could actually work, but I find her intriguing.
March 26, 2012 at 11:09 pm #18860Here are some more of my deep thoughts: Don’s behavior is out of character like Peggy commented on the show; it makes me wonder if they’re trying to change him or if they’re just not staying true to the character. I like that Pete is messing with Roger — I always love it when those two fight. But the whole “having Pete send him to a fake meeting at 6 am far, far away” thing was a little silly and unbelievable – and not Mad Men-esque, which makes me worry that the show is going down hill. I guess I do like that Megan is able to manipulate Don, but even that seems forced; her character last season didn’t seem like that kind of person. I wish they’d bring Salvatore back (but I’ve been wishing that every year). And I predict that Pete is going to be having an affair soon. His life is mirroring Don’s – he moved to the ‘burbs, Trudie is depressed, Pete’s feeling un-cared for…. enter affair!! Let’s see, what else… I love Sally. I hope the show continues for 5+ more years so we can see how she grows up in junior high/high school, though I think they’ve already decided there will only be another couple of seasons. Why did they swap out Bobbies? I feel bad for the old Bobby. … Ok, that’s enough rambling.
March 31, 2012 at 2:06 pm #19760I thought I was hallucinating with the Bobby actor thing, but according to http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2012-03-29/entertainment/os-commander-coconut-20120329_1_sexism-sterling-cooper-draper-pryce-hope, “Oh, did you notice this? The boy playing Bobby Draper, son of Don and Betty, this season is little Mason Vale Cotton, who is also the son of Susan and Mike Delfino on “Desperate Housewives.” Previously, Bobby had been played by little Jared Gilmore, who is now Henry on “Once Upon a Time.”"
Don’t feel too bad for him, Addie Pray, he got a job before the rest of them did.
April 2, 2012 at 8:55 am #19816Wow! They made Betty pretty big in the second episode. This is episode was good, but seemed a little bit all over the place. The twist on Betty is refreshing and will become more and more interesting on down the road.
April 3, 2012 at 12:44 pm #19917It was interesting to see Roger get kicked by Pete AGAIN. Wonder if he’ll be throwing himself out the window…
April 9, 2012 at 2:49 am #20403This show is brilliant. That is all. And I wish I could take Sally out for ice cream.
