I don’t watch all that much TV but I am seriously OBSESSED with NCIS. I love the characters so much! I got my mom hooked too. Ha.
Any other NCIS fans out there??
February 21, 2012 at 7:49 pm #13514MEMEMEMEMEME! I’ve been watching since it started, never missed an episode (even if I thought the Port-to-Port killer episodes sucked).
What’s funny is that everyone in my office swears that the creator(s) of NCIS must have gotten the inspiration for Abby from me.
February 21, 2012 at 8:25 pm #13519Watching it right now! Love NCIS!
February 21, 2012 at 8:51 pm #13527No spoilers! I won’t see it until 7pm AKST (it is currently 4:47PM). I get to leave to go home at 5 and take my 7 minute drive home, which will take a few extra minutes since it’s been snowing all damned day.
How do you all feel about the spin-off – NCIS: LA? I’m not much of a fan. I do like the Hetty character, for the enigma she presents, and the Callan origins mystery, and the interplay/romantic tensions between the lab geeks, but other than that – I find it kind of bland and think that they are playing on the collective fear of terrorism way too much and are not only hyping it to the point of making everyone fear it more at the moment, but also long-term desensitizing us as a whole. I mean, right now, it makes it seem like CA is the hotbed of terrorism and only the Navy can save us. No offense to the Navy, but it’s short-changing many other people and other decent agencies.

at the coffee shop that was my part time job last year, they were SO obsessed with ncis that all of our eqiupment was named after the characters…. like they literally took a label maker and named our stuff. it was hilarious. so i think there are tons of ncis fans out there. i mean there are espresso machines named after them- oh! and our downstairs storage area was called autopsy, because i guess their autopsy is downstairs, too? lol… it was a fun place to work for sure.
February 21, 2012 at 10:25 pm #13542@katie – That’s SOOO awesome! I wanna work in a place that names things after cool shows.
February 21, 2012 at 10:51 pm #13547Awesome! I knew there were bound to be some fans out there in the DW world.
I got hooked later on (starting probably around episode 7 or 8) so I’ve been gradually buying the DVD sets to get caught up. How about your favorite characters? I LOVE Gibbs. I love his character, but also I might have an itty bitty crush on him…yes, he is old enough to be my dad, but seriously. It’s kind of like George Clooney or Harrison Ford in the fact that he’s attractive at any age. When the producers signed Mark Harmon to play Gibbs, they struck gold. (Or silver? Ha.) Did you know Mark Harmon was People’s Sexiest Man Alive at one point? True story. And did I mention that his son Sean is TOTALLY hot?? Google him. You won’t be disappointed.
@katie: That is SO COOL. I totally want to work there now!!
February 22, 2012 at 2:09 am #13558I love Gibbs, too, he’s a badass. I pretty much have grown to love them all. I could do with less Vance and Palmer, though. Otoh, Palmer does make me giggle sometimes. And I didn’t really like Kate very much. Or early Ziva.
I’m also not really a fan of NCIS: LA, but I also never really watched more than a few episodes. Maybe if I gave it another chance. Recently LL Cool J stopped by Pendleton and my bf took a picture of him and some other Marines and a helo. We never did really figure out why he was dropping by, other than “research” lol.
February 22, 2012 at 12:06 pm #13639I love NCIS!!! I’m all about DiNozzo….mmmmm
February 22, 2012 at 12:36 pm #13664I see DiNozzo and think of Dark Angel. Sorry. Same with McGee, I think of Hocus Pocus. I swear I’m too old some days…
May 15, 2012 at 11:54 pm #26167Reviving this thread to say…OHMIGOSH THE FINALE!!!! Whhhyyyyyy did they have to leave it at such a cliffhanger???
May 17, 2012 at 3:37 am #26561Ahhh! I just watched it!! So good!! I think this season overall was pretty awesome.
May 21, 2012 at 2:41 pm #27032I was hopping mad. The SO and I discussed and here’s what I think: The bad guy called Duckie and said that everyone died in the explosion (but nobody did). Duckie collapsed with shock/emotion and they blacked out before he started screaming in agony at losing his whole team. Nobody actually died.
May 21, 2012 at 3:08 pm #27044OK, I had to hop on. I LOVE THIS SHOW! I have never missed an episode…and watch reruns constantly on USA. As for the finale: OH.MY.GAWD. I don’t know I’ve ever been so strung out over a show before!
