Northeast Ohioans – Meetup idea?

I just wanted to take a moment to invite any fellow NE Ohioans to join me at the 42nd annual commemoration of May 4, 1970 at Kent State University. It is at noon on Friday, May 4th. I go every year if my schedule makes it possible, because what happened that day at my alma mater is unacceptable and we cannot allow it ever happen again. Lately, I am becoming increasingly alarmed that we are once again moving that direction, towards a police state where those of us who believe in freedom are “dissenters” and our own country is blatently trying to destroy us. I love America and what we used to stand for, but I don’t recognize the country I live in right now and it’s heartbreaking to me.
I know my views aren’t well accepted here because I’m a bit of a modern-day hippie, but please! If you love America as much as I do and want to preserve our freedoms and ensure that our government isn’t allowed to shoot us for disagreeing with them, come out on May 4th and let’s talk about it. Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.
