Brad	I figure one of the best areas around ought to be the first to break into this section of the forums am I right? So how many do we have here in the DC/NOVA area that’d be interested in a casual meetup? There’s no shortage of bars or wine tasting in the area just to give one suggestion.

Brad	Well I have to travel on business here in a week but I’ll be free the end of Feb and March. Does anyone else have any ideas for things to do for the meetup? I’m thinking something indoors would be best as it’s still kinda cold out.

Christy	I mean, I think we should do something in DC proper so that MDers and NOVAns can both make it. There’s a pub near Union Station (called Union Pub, go figure) that I like a lot–decent drink specials, not too loud, but still a fun atmosphere.

Brad	Well that’s fine with me, but if I’m going into the city it would be more convenient for me to do that on a weekend. I don’t have much time to do that Mon-Thurs so it would be hard to squeeze in. Fri or Sat would be much better. We’ll have to think of a creative way to make it easy to locate the group. Maybe everyone agree to wear red or something?

Buzzelbee	A Friday/Saturday would also be better for me to get over to union station as well but not a problem then (assuming they haven’t shut down half of the red line again).

Ladybug	Friday or Saturday would be best for me too–I work in Fairfax, so the earliest I can promise to be anywhere in DC on a weeknight is 6:30. Union Pub sounds like fun though.
