And this was probably one of the good ones
I got to talk to my stepkids, bought tickets to the first ever Knotfest (with Slipknot and Lamb of God) in Minneapolis/Somerset, bought my new furniture for my house and saw my favorite cousin for the first time since last August (she was in Spain for a study abroad program). Despite working 12 hours at my part time job on Saturday, this was a great weekend. How was everyone else’s weekend? Do anything fun?June 11, 2012 at 12:45 pm #29474My husband surpised me with an early birthday present!! He bought me a SCOOTER!!! (like a Vespa- Not a Razor scooter). It’s the coolest thing ever!!!!
So yeah, I had a great weekend, too!
June 11, 2012 at 12:45 pm #29475Glad you had a good weekend, furniture shopping is fun.

I spent my saturday cleaning, shopping and cooking, yesterday was my husband´s birthday and he decided to have people over (he usually does nothing for his bday). So yesterday was fun, at least. And I got lots of compliments on my cooking, which hardly ever happens!
Also over the weekend my 1 year old started drawing… all over the fridge (and she was headed to the walls before my husband caught her).June 11, 2012 at 12:58 pm #29476Aw, I want a Vespa! I’m jealous, Bethany!
My weekend was chock-full of drama. I don’t think I feel like getting into it right now, though, so I’ll just leave y’all with that teaser.
June 11, 2012 at 1:09 pm #29478I spent this weekend packing up my childhood bedroom in preparation for getting the keys to our townhouse this weekend. It was so emotionally exhausting, and it looks really weird to see everything in boxes now. I’m glad I did it, though. Then Sunday was our wedding shower, so we added tons more boxes on top of the ones we already packed, haha. Someone got us a purple vacuum and a purple toaster! How great is that?
June 11, 2012 at 1:15 pm #29479I had a very relaxing weekend! I felt like I was coming down with something going around the office, so I took it easy on myself and cancelled Friday dinner plans. Then I just watched a movie, did some chores and relaxed.
Saturday I did more of the same, but made a meal plan for the week, grocery shopped and also got into a bit of jucing-I threw some swiss chard, an apple a beet, some celery and ginger into my juicer and drank that for a cleanse/detox meal.
Sunday I went to the farmers market with my friend and we bought the stuff to have a very simple but tasty feast on her patio. We ate some cheeses, baguettes with jam, fresh arugula and smoked salmon. It was simple but SO good. Then we sat in the sun and talked about how to manifest the things we want out of life, and work for our goals. then I came home and cooked two dishes for the week and watched a movie before bed. I had the best weekend just chilling, feel so recharged and ready to take on the week:)June 11, 2012 at 1:28 pm #29480Lili, that sounds like an awesome weekend! Both productive and relaxing.
June 11, 2012 at 1:37 pm #29481Kristen, It really was! I love being social and going out, don’t get me wrong but the refreshed feeling I get after taking care of myself emotionally and physically is amazing! I didn’t even work out, but walked a lot outside (and up and down the hill I live on) and feel like that was the best exercise I’ve gotten all month:)
June 11, 2012 at 1:40 pm #29482Not the greatest weekend. Mostly working, and worrying about this fire.
June 11, 2012 at 1:44 pm #29483@rachel I saw the photos, but didn´t want to be more stalker then I already am .

It looks terrible, are there many losses?June 11, 2012 at 1:52 pm #29484A few structures have been lost so far, and I’ve heard that one person is missing, but there are quite a few homes in the perimeter that the fire crews don’t know if they are burned or not.
June 11, 2012 at 1:54 pm #29485How awful. Is it the same place that was affected by the last fire?
June 11, 2012 at 2:03 pm #29487Part of it, this one is much bigger than the last one. And they can’t contain it at all right now.
June 11, 2012 at 2:04 pm #29489How scary.
June 11, 2012 at 2:10 pm #29490@rachel- That’s so scary! Fires freak me out. It’s almost like they have a mind of their own sometimes. It’s crazy how hard it is to contain them.
On a happier note, I had a great weekend. On Friday, I hosted a girls night with the Meetup I organize. I had some friends I made through the group and some new people show up and it was a blast. It was awesome to see so many people relieved that they found our group. I’ve been struggling to make friends the last year, so I was happy to realize I helped create something where people ca make friend.
On Saturday, I went on a Pirate Pub Crawl and Booze Cruise. We dressed up like pirates and bounced from bar to bar in Boston and cruised around the harbor. I had a blast, but I also realized how old I’m getting. All I wanted was a quiet house, water, and my couch when the drinking was done haha
