@Brad, how was Snow White?
On Friday i came back from a good run, despite the heat which really got me, and my dad suggested we go see Prometheus. For me i have seen most of the Alien movies so i was interested. Whatever Ridely Scott says he is a LIAR it is most definitely a Prequel. So i enjoyed the movie, not as much as Avengers though, but my dad hated it. Said the acting and plot was terrible. He has now watched almost all the Alien movies since we saw Prometheus, as he was ticked off that the movie turned out so badly for him. I have never seen him this agitated after watching a movie, i think he just had high hopes for the movie.
Saturday night i went to a co-workers place to hang out, his girlfriend and one of his soccer friends were also there. So we had a decent night of playing Wii, Scene-It, watching the In-Betweeners (A British comedy, my co-worker is from the UK) and drinking. So that was a nice break. And Sunday i rehydrated after Saturdays binge and then did some research for a local environmental group in my town. Overall a decent weekend.
June 11, 2012 at 9:45 pm #29522@Cleopatra: I’d give it a B overall.
Acting: B-, Kristen S. doesn’t do very good in my opinion. I guess she didn’t realize this wasn’t another Twilight sequel because she had the same angsty expression the whole movie. A couple of Charlize T.’s scenes were a little over the top. Didn’t really have any complaints with Chris H.
Story: A-, much better than the original Disney version. It’s darker and more fantasy epic rather than fairy tale. I could have done without the scene with the fairies…
Plot: A-, Some parts were predictable and a little ridiculous, but over all I think it was an improvement over Disney and wasn’t so predictable that you were bored.
Script: B+, Some lines were fairly cheesy and didn’t give the actors much room to go on in my opinion.
Special Effects: A, very well done.
Overall it was about as good as I expected it to be. I didn’t walk out in love with it, but I didn’t want my money back either.
June 11, 2012 at 10:25 pm #29527@Lili- thank you for the hangover suggestions! My old fast food and and gatorade in the morning just doesn’t cut it anymore haha How did I not know about the wonders of Vitamin B? I feel so left of this. I’ve been suffering in vain haha
June 11, 2012 at 10:30 pm #29529I watched Snow White over the weekend, and I thought it was an excellent movie. I’m no critic and don’t know a thing about film, but I loved it, and so did my fiance.
Annnnnnnnd we visited a wedding venue this weekend and knew as soon as we got there that it was where we needed to get married, so we booked it! It’s right next to one of our favorite state parks. Our relationship hit a turning point at our first camping trip there, and our campsite is visible from the entrance of the wedding venue, which is all the way across a lake. It’s really special to us. And booking a venue means that we officially set our date too, so yay!!

Kristen, your purple appliances sound awesome! When’s the housewarming party?
What did I do this weekend? Nothing. I did nothing and it was awesome. I stayed home, drank and ate whatever I wanted, watched TV, slept, and cleaned up a few corners that have been on the to do list for the last month. And on Sunday I finally sold that goddamn truck. I didn’t make as much money as I thought I would, but I did make $130 in a half hour. If you add the $115 I made by rolling all of the change he left behind, you could say I made $245 off of my heartbreak so far.
