Is anyone else excited to see what Stabler (Chris Merloni) is going to play on the new season of True Blood! I can’t wait for this season anyways, though I do get a little sick of Sookie’s flip flopping between guys.

The flip flopping romance thing just makes me want them to kill off all 3 of them. Jason Stackhouse is hands down the best character in the entire show.

Yeah, Jason is the shit, and I like Jessica too, but I think that’s because I think she is wicked hot, but I like the pale redheaded girls so that could be it. Eric use to be my favorite, because he was such a badass, but they are straying away from that for some reason. Oh and I wish Godrick never died, because he would have been my favorite.

My friends all adore this show — but I can’t get into it! I am just too squeamish! Vampires simply freak me out…like a primal fear…

I think Bill should die *uhum, get staked* already… That would make an awesome season finale. Yep, I said it.

That’s how I felt about Tara last season, and I was pretty excited she was shot in the head, and then disappointed they kept her alive in a stupid way. This season she doesn’t annoy me as much, but I think the show could do without her.

And it would be interesting if they killed Bill, especially since Alan Ball seemed so obsessed with having him be awesome. He’s been really irritating this season, but at the same time, the show would feel weird without him around. Sookie needs Bill around to save and/or get her into some sort of trouble all the time. I know Eric can do that, but it would be weird if it were just him.

Yeah this season is killing me so far! They need to have a pretty dramatic finale that explains all this shit! Eric still is my favorite though, and his character always seems to stay true.

Oh goodness. I’m anxious for the finale, because I want them to explain things…but, there’s only two more episodes and I think we’re going to end up with more questions than answers :-/

What do you guys think of Salome’s character? I’ve heard some pretty interesting theories people have about her. Like, my friend seems to think that the Lilith blood is actually Salome’s blood (hence Bill seeing Lilith when he bit her), and she’s just filling it to control everyone. I read another theory that either Salome or Lilith is half fairy/half vampire, and that is why the blood makes them all high. These make me giggle but who knows as the season seems to get more and more outrageous.

i’m two episodes behind! i too though was very disappointed when they brought tara back. she’s just a tad annoying. i’m sad that stabler is gone already! and yeah i would not be sad if it at this point Bill was killed.

and i just started reading the books! i’m only on book 1 and it’s the series is very true to this part of the book but i’ve heard that the tv show is very different the further in to the books I get. they are very easy, fun reads if anyone needs an end of summer book!

@jlyfsh: yeah, I think this season has veered the farthest from the books. My friend was joking about making a blog noting all the differences, but at this point there are too many and it’s so confusing! (At least it was for me.) And the books are good until the last few, which you can tell were rushed and not well-thought out. But in that vein, I guess it’s good the show and the books don’t completely match? :)

i’ve also heard that the books are kind of crappy towards the end. now i just need more time to read so i can actually get through the first book!

I used to hate Tara too, but I think she’s a sexy badass vampire. I like her this way.

As for the blood thing. I too thought that the Lilith blood is actually Salome’s blood. Or maybe Salome was made by her? So her blood is more potent? Idk.

But all that said I am not digging this season. The graphics are HORRIBLE. Lilith coughing red blood chalk on them the first time she appeared? Lilith all covered in blood with her weird pubic square?! I

And last week with that crazy old fairy lady… I just. What. I’ve basically stopped comparing the books and the show bc the mythology and plot lines and characters are just so drastically different. I view them as two separate guilty pleasures. HOWEVER. The fairies in TB are so super lame!! In the books fairies are vicious and strong. Bill nearly dies of silver poisoning bc some crazy ass fairy with silver tipped teeth went all crazy on him. The evil fairies seriously torture Sookie too. And instead we get lame graphics of fairies with ugly Goblin faces when they get mad. Booooo.

Omg, totally agree about the lameness of the TB fairies! (faeries?) Like when the elder chick was being all weird and she asked Sookie about Kesha??? Last week’s episode was way lame, and totally just filler to set up the finale, which bothered me. And then they made Claude all small and skinny, and it’s weird they “live” in some portal, as opposed to either being on earth or in their own realm. I also feel like they dropped the ball with the Hadley thing…like, why is she there if she’s not fae? Is it because of her son? But that doesn’t really make sense and they’ve just seemed to completely ignore it. Ugh, I can go on, but I won’t.

And yeah, naked blood covered Lilith…it’s nutso. I do appreciate how they threw in Pam saying that when vampires live in a “nest” they start going all crazy, which sort of “explains” things…but not really. They’ve had nests on the show before and no one went all crazy. And the authority wasn’t all crazy before (unless they didn’t live there?). So yeah. This season was pretty weak all around.
