Beer gives me a headache too-usually after the first one! Oh and champagne has started to give me headaches too. Which is a pity. How am i supposed to be all classy if I can’t drink champagne?!

@colors-YES! I’m the same. I think I could drink a bottle of booze with no hangover. Wine on the other hand, awful headache. And I love wine

p.s. one of my favorite clients took me out to lunch today. big beer drinker. i had to join otherwise it would’ve been bad for business. one car service later, i’m back at work

ahh i would love to, but that would probably be frowned upon in my building. it’s a weird bunch. almost anti-social. we have no pot lucks or anything. it’s a little sad honestly.

@Michele – Totally feel you. Drinks at lunch would not just be totally frowned upon for me but an offense for which I would get fired. If I’m out to dinner and have a glass of wine, I’m actually a little terrified that students will see me drinking and it will get back to the higher-ups. It’s happened. So summer break is alllll about daytime drinking…either at home or at restaurants where I know I won’t see students,

a lunch time beer is forbidden where I work too so silly…it’s not like I or most people would get sloshed and come back to work.

Just different company cultures. My husband is in the same industry as me, but if he goes out to lunch with his managers etc, they can have a drink. One of the last places I worked, the boss actually brought in beers for a few of us that stayed late on a Friday to get a job done. Course, he was also a boss that got drunk and stoned at our company Christmas parties. I was always fascinated by that… plus the vice president would do the same, and just start talking a ton, when normally he was very quiet and awkward. I miss that company for the social aspects lol… in this one I know that if I leave a little early, I risk the stink eye. Even if I have nothing to do.
