Here are a few things from around the web that may interest you:

I haven’t started watching The Handmaid’s Tale yet, but I’m reading the book right now. I thought those of you doing one or both might appreciate this: “What ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Says About Female Relationships.”

Sheryl Sandberg: ‘Marry the nerds and the good guys’

“Why You Should Learn to Say ‘No’ More Often”

“Kevin: ‘I don’t have many jealousy triggers. But I don’t like it when someone my wife is seeing takes the parking spot in front of my house.'” — Is an Open Marriage a Happier Marriage?

Sorry, Congress, but My C-Section Is Not a “Preexisting Condition”

Mother’s Day is on Sunday and this post, about what to do when your friend loses a baby, is not only filled with helpful tips on supporting a friend who has experienced the ultimate loss, but also it’s a reminder that Mother’s Day can be painful for a lot of people, for a lot of different reasons. If you know someone for whom the day might be a sad one, let her know you’re thinking of her. That simple message could mean a lot.

Thank you to those who submitted links for me to include. If you see something around the web you think DW readers would appreciate, please send me a link to [email protected] and, if it’s a fit, I’ll include it in Friday’s round-up. Thanks!

Eh… the open marriage story is both a bit of mess and a sham as the open relationship it profiles is surely one of the disfunctional I’ve ever heard about…
