Dear Wendy readers are some of the most intelligent, stylish, super-cool people around (it’s a proven fact), so it’s a no-brainer to feature some of their favorite products. Many of the recommended products happen to be affiliate products, which means I’ll receive a commission on any click-throughs or purchases you make through the affiliate links. As always, I appreciate your support! Today’s recommendations come from SeaOtter, who is a school social worker and lives in Northern California with her hunky geek husband and two dogs. She has been described by multiple old men as a “firecracker,” which she guesses is a compliment. She loves books, scuba diving, the late great David Bowie, Crossfit, and German apple pancakes. She is currently contemplating getting her first tattoo. Here are some of the things she’s loving right now and thinks you should check out:
Unsure how these bra top dresses would work for larger-chested ladies, but these are my summer uniform. They are insanely comfortable but also really cute and flattering. They’re so comfortable it’s like getting to wear pajamas out of the house, but stylish, stealth pajamas that can be worn to work or out to dinner with no social judgment.
This curl cream smells like summer and leaves my curly/wavy hair soft and frizzless. It’s a little pricey, but lasts a long time and doesn’t dry out my hair like some of their gels do.
Probably the least sexy item on this list, but this stuff is a lifesaver for pet owners. I adopted a shelter dog half a year ago and she was super difficult to potty train. She peed in the same spot (on the rug, not the easily cleanable wood floor) for weeks, until I wised up and started using Nature’s Miracle on pee spots. Now she’s house trained! Hooray!
I ordered a coffee table, TV console, and side table from this Etsy seller who makes reclaimed wood furniture. Their pieces are affordable for the quality and look great. You do have to put the legs on, but they’re pretty easy to assemble. (They might not be great for folks with babies, as they have pointy corners.)
My husband loves these socks. They’re supposedly for hiking but he uses them as everyday socks. Also, the first review mentions a soldier wearing them in Afghanistan, so they must be hardcore.
If you have some products you’d like to recommend to the DW audience, shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with links to five recommendations. (Write “reader recs” in the subject line, please.) Your recommendations can be from any store or website, but they need to be accessible online. If your list is a good fit for the site, I’ll ask you to write a brief description of each item/explain what you love so much about it.
