Reader Recs: Snoopy’s Favorite Life-Simplifying Products

Dear Wendy readers are some of the most intelligent, stylish, super-cool people around (it’s a proven fact), so it’s a no-brainer to feature some of their favorite products. Many of the recommended products happen to be affiliate products, which means I’ll receive a commission on any click-throughs or purchases you make through the affiliate links. As always, I appreciate your support! Today’s recommendations come from Snoopy who is a Canadian west coast lover of running, baking, and dogs. She currently lives in Alberta with her fiancé and their goofy dog. Outside of work, she competes in cross country and track and field races. In her spare time, she loves making dinner with friends and baking decadent treats. Her recommendations below are the staples in her life that make things easier!

The first day I tried Living Proof dry shampoo, I used it at night and couldn’t even tell I’d used dry shampoo in the morning because my hair didn’t feel all gritty.

The Kong Wobbler toy keeps my dog entertained while I am busy. It also helps to stop dogs from eating too fast!

This is my go-to running and biking watch. I also bought the speed and cadence sensors for my road bike so I only need one device for running and biking. It includes a step counter and smart watch, and it tells me to move if I’ve sat for an hour straight at work.

The NARS velvet matte lip pencils last all day and provide moisturizing matte color. I own Cruella, Damned, and Never Say Never and would happily add more to my collection.

This is my go-to moisturizer and SPF in one. It’s light enough for use in humid summer environments, but it layers well under other products during the winter. Although not marketed as waterproof, the SPF 50 held through some waving surfing sessions this summer. (Side note: The SPF 50 formula is only available in the USA; Canadians can buy the SPF 35 version.)

Thanks, Snoopy!

Your recommendations can be from any store or website, but they need to be accessible online. If your list is a good fit for the site, I’ll ask you to write a brief description of each item/explain what you love so much about it.

I’m going to have to try that dry shampoo. I’ve tried a million of them and I can’t find one that works on my greaseball head without irritating my scalp! Currently I’m using Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak and it is lightweight, but it honestly looks like I haven’t even used anything at all. The one dry shampoo that seems to work on my grease is Dove, but it’s murder on my scalp.

That dry shampoo is the best! I’ve also used Oribe and Amika which were good

I’ve heard amazing things about that dry shampoo.

The kong wobbler looks like it would work for my dog… he has a regular kong that we stuff peanut butter and treats in, but that’s fatty and he gets it all out pretty quick. He’d be just as into it with regular kibble, but that just falls out of the regular kong.

Kong Wobbler Question, Snoopy! (or anyone that might have one)… do you think you could put popcorn in the wobbler and it would be able to escape the hole?

My parents have this awesome toy similiar to the wobbler that our dog loves when she goes to visit. My mom puts popcorn in it (dog crowd pleasure) as a low calorie alternative. We have been looking for the toy and can’t find it anywhere. This seems like a good alternative (our dog LOVES her kong toy) if we could put popcorn in it as a low calorie treat.

Popcorn would probably work in the wobbler. The hole is fairly large (and the base screws off so it’s easy to put the food in).
