Thanks for the Support

Just wanted to say a quick thank you to those of you who have been supporting me/ the site through shopping my affiliate links. As a reminder, when you shop through either my Amazon affiliate link or my ModCloth affiliate link, I get a commission on the sales (roughly 7%) which I use to maintain this site. Every purchase helps, and I sincerely appreciate all of you who think to click through my links and help support the site. Both links can be accessed through their respective widgets/ads on the sidebar. For super easy access, you can also bookmark my Amazon affiliate link and use it whenever you do your Amazon shopping. That link is: http://www.amazon.com/?&tag=dearwecom-20&linkCode=wsw&.

Thanks, again!! You’ve helped make the last three months the most financially successful for the site so far and I’ve even been able to hire a temporary part-time assistant to help with marketing and miscellaneous odds and ends I never have time to get to. Thank you!

What about the ‘read your mind’ ads elsewhere on your page? For example, I’m seeing a piperlime one now bc I was just on their site? Do you get 7% for that too?

I am waiting until March to buy the Mia… because I spent all my budgeted fun money for February on yarn… Also I really want these “kitten” heels with actual cat heads on them from Modcloth

*sigh* PS any other knitters?

Yes! Not for a while, because I have tendonitis in my wrist. :( But yes! I used to make stuffed penguins for all the babies in my life. What do you knit?

I’ve just gotten back into it on a long hiatus because I’ve found it’s a really effective way for me to keep focused while watching lectures online. Doing something with my hand stops me from compulsively checking FB and DearWendy (what has my life become?!)

I’ve done a couple scarves and cowls, and I just ordered a bunch of yarn for my first blanket that will hopefully be a gift for my BF this summer. I have to tread a delicate balance between doing something interesting, but not SO interesting that I’m not paying attention to lecture.

Hi Wendy, does the Amazon affiliate link also work for the UK site i.e. if I shop on amazon.co.uk will you still be able to get the commission?

Done! Just added a bookmark to your Amazon link at the top of my browser. I buy almost everything through Amazon …
