Experience a lot of frustration. A lot of the bullshit can be avoided. I say if you’re going to do it, research it thoroughly first. Then go into it with awareness and “strategery.”September 8, 2017 at 3:18 pm #716547
Oh, duh, also, everyone dates their co-workers these days. You spend all your time at work, and they’re right there.September 8, 2017 at 3:46 pm #716548
@kate Hah! I met the 2nd husband at work. I currently work in an place that has a grand total of 5 women in the entire company, spread out among 4 buildings. I run IT so they are all my clients, in a way. I have to prioritize their needs against each others and ensure certain resources are allocated properly for the company.
It’d look like favoritism if I dated in the office pool so I’ve just stayed away there.September 14, 2017 at 6:10 am #717033
Where do people go to meet each other? Here’s one option; adult sports leagues! You don’t even need to be that athletic to sign up. Where I live, you’ve got a plethora of leagues to choose from. Softball and kickball seem to be the most popular, and there are more casual ones as well, like corn hole and skeeball! They’re all coed leagues and are typically sponsored by a local bar. The idea of mingling all these people together and then hitting up the bar afterwards is hugely successful. One of these leagues near me is constantly posting on their facebook page about couples who met in the league that are now engaged or married. One of my friends actually just got engaged to a guy she met while playing softball.
So for those who are tired of online dating and have the time to sign up to play in a sports league, this is a very viable option.
