Ooh, freckles, I want to try the other Pixi products.
Yes to humidifiers. I live in Seattle where it is generally very humid, but when it’s cold and the ground somewhat freezes, I use two humidifiers in our house. It’s key with the heat blasting all the time.
For kid entertainment, a play date at someone else’s house is hours of fun. All the different toys! You can trade with parents who live near you if your comfortable with that.December 20, 2016 at 3:42 pm #665119
I’m a little late to the party, but I think I’ve mentioned before my love of Korean beauty products. My number one brand is Mizon. It’s affordable, and they have different product lines depending on your skin issues. I’ve used products from their collagen line, and my friend with very dry skin loves their hyaluronic acid ampoule. I have combination and acne-prone skin, and at this point, I think my face is being held together mostly by snail mucus–specifically the ampoule, all-in-one cream, and the sleeping pack. My receptionist recently told me that I look like I’m 20, which I know is not true (I’m 30), but I will attribute it to the snails anyway.
I usually just use Vitamin E oil as an eye cream as dark circles are my number-one struggle.
I also recently got some Neogen Dermalogy Bio-Peel wipes after my Clarisonic bit the dust. They’re these little pads that exfoliate both chemically and manually. They smell like grape dimetapp, and I love them.
I love Softy Mo Speedy facial cleansing oil as a makeup remover, before using a foaming cleanser. That stuff melts off your waterproof mascara and whatnot with quickness.December 21, 2016 at 12:14 pm #665248
My skin has been super dry this winter and after receiving a sample from Sephora I became obsessed with Guerlain
Abeille Royale Repairing Honey Gel Mask. It is a bit pricey but I sleep with it on a couple days a week and my skin is perfection now!December 21, 2016 at 12:46 pm #665253
shakeourtree.. i may be allergic to snail 🙁 i put on a mask and spread all the goop on my neck like you’re supposed to… scaly for a week on the neck. blahDecember 21, 2016 at 2:21 pm #665285
shakeourtree, do you use the snail ampoule and all-in-one cream at the same time or do you alternate using them? I’ve heard a lot of good things about snail creams, so I’m interested in trying it out. It also looks like it’s cheaper than the TonyMoly snail creams.December 21, 2016 at 4:03 pm #665321
Seriously best product for the year “baby feet” Fixed 10 years of feet abuse in one treatment. Easy to use but don’t have any open toe shoes for at least 10 days!December 21, 2016 at 4:08 pm #665324
@kicia, I use the ampoule under a moisturizer, after cleansing and toning, both in the morning and at night. That is probably overkill, but it’s only like $9 on Amazon, so I’m not too worried about conservation. The all-in-one is my go-to moisturizer, but I switch it up depending on the time of year, what my skin is doing atm, etc. I have been using the sleeping pack a couple of times a week instead since it got cold for extra moisture.
I just started my period and saw the beginnings of a breakout coming on yesterday, so I slathered on the all-in-one last night and this morning. The pimples are all but gone now without ever having really erupted. It also has improved the creases on my forehead, even though they weren’t really that bad to begin with.December 22, 2016 at 10:24 am #665456
ooo i have a tony moly foot pack i’ve been meaning to use! i will have to do it after the holidays when I’m not a guest at other people’s homes (so the skin shedding only affects me!)December 26, 2016 at 2:15 pm #666035
I love the damn brush. I got so many compliments on hair that I legit spent ten minutes or less on. Thanks, Kate!December 26, 2016 at 3:19 pm #666042
You shittin me gurl? Hee hee! Did you see my transformation pic on Wendy’s reco column?
PS sorry for my tone, I’m drunk shopping and just bought $465 of sweaters for like $265. One of them wasn’t on sale.
I told my hairdresser about the brush and she gave me slight side-eye and told me to be really careful with the heat. But 1) it’s not a professional hot tool so she’s never heard of it, 2) all my hair burned off a year and a half ago after a corner-salon catastrophe and she had to fix it, and 3) she noticed no damage whatsoever while cutting and blow-drying my hair, after I’d used the brush several times.December 27, 2016 at 2:28 pm #666185
Lol. I love that brush!December 27, 2016 at 2:49 pm #666186
Anonymousse and freckles: I got the Pixi Glow Tonic at Target last week and I’m a believer. I have pretty frequent breakouts that leave dark spots behind, but my skin is already looking more even and feels really soft! Yay!!
