My date was super fun! He was really, really easy to talk to. We had a couple drinks, split some appetizers, and then he was nice enough to drive me to a restaurant to meet up with a couple of cousins/my sister to say goodbye to a cousin who was visiting and leaving today. (So then I had more booze and food, haha.) He said he wants to go out again, but is traveling for the next week, so maybe I’ll see him in a couple weeks? I’m very open to it!

Is every man in existence travelling after a date?

@MissDre – Haha. Right!? I swear, almost every time I meet someone I plan/hope to see again, one of us has travel plans immediately after our first date. (Lately, it’s been the guy, not me, but I’ve been the problem before, too.)

Regarding the date dying on the way I had to laugh a little, not that dying is funny. I had a date planned with a guy and he never showed up. Annoyed I text him “bummer you didn’t make it”. Initially he had asked me to go sky diving with him as he did it professionally. I said heck no so we were meeting for dinner later in the day. He ended up breaking both legs that day and was in the hospital when he should have met me.

I remember thinking “phew dodged that bullet by not going on the skydiving date.” hahahha

I have a first date tomorrow since September tomorrow! From Bumble. It’s just coffee. He essentially gave me the option of coffee or drinks by suggesting a place that does both and saying “let the timing determine if it will be coffee or drinks” and then asked what time worked for me. And I guess I was feeling more afternoon, although I wouldn’t have minded drinks/something to take the dge off.

But agh, what do I wear for a date in winter? I feel so out of practice of dating. I’m nervous, actually. He seems cute, maybe out of my league. But we will seeee!

The one that’s linked at the bottom of the page, Too Good to Leave, Too Bad to Stay, is really good too, if you’re in a relationship you’re not sure if you should stay in, or trying make sense of what happened after you’ve left one.

Yeah, I was reading the reviews and they said exactly that. I think I’ll go with “Too good….” first.
