    Totally agree SpaceySteph.

Wendy – should you perhaps do a reverse DW Update to this guy with new advice?? 🙂

I stuck with it to the end, I couldn’t look away. I’m not sure, does ‘Enjoy Sweden’ work here? Because it feels like it works, but I feel terrible for that poor kid.

I know quite a few families with whiteboards and they got them for the kids. It is a great way to leave messages where they will be found. It establishes the place to look for the information you need to know. To assume that the white board is there for the wife instead of for the child seems presumptuous. It probably was put up for the child which is why the child uses it. We have one for each of our kids. My son uses his very little but still works math problems on it occasionally. We use our daughters when helping her with math problem for homework. When she was 10 she drew on her whiteboard and so did her friends. That’s the whole point of a whiteboard.

Also did anyone notice that he was supposed to meet her in the Philippines but stood her up to meet a different woman (who he later impregnated and married) in Singapore. This guys is a dirty cheater with a weird Asian fetish and I’m scared for his kid.

Whoa, didn’t we get a letter about THIS, TOO???

LOL I love that she proclaims that she is NOT A BULLY and then follows that up with a vague threat about Wendy’s website.

“I AM NOT A BULLY!!! You need to be careful with your words ‘cause you can get in trouble with that especially you have a website to protect.”

    Holy crazyballs.

And yet this mess still had a happy ending…the poor little girl went to live with her mother. I hope she stays there, and I hope her mother files for full custody. Because God knows what her father will bring home next, if this is his “wonderful woman”. Sounds like he’s already shopping for the next wife.

I hope the mom isn’t crazy too, though, given that she also fell for the dad’s super sketchy MO of meeting Asian women online, flying to visit them, and then bringing them back to the states.

So the TL:DR appears to be: her husband is a scumbag so it’s totally ok that she is a jerk to the kid because LOGIC? Am I completely missing something here?

After reading this part, all I could think was that she is going to call the internet police on Wendy! I wonder how many times a website can get the internet police called before something is done about it.

I don’t know @honeybee. You’d think with all the threats I’ve received, the internet police would have thrown me into internet jail by now!

I re-read the old letter and Wendy’s response, and Wendy was actually quite generous to this lady given the information available at the time. I also read the whole new letter and … wow… get me some popcorn.

I do feel kind of bad for the LW. Besides the fact of her obvious mental imbalance, she somehow convinced herself to pick this loser of a man over her friends, family (twice), job, and country of choice. In the meantime he has been sneaking around with like 3 other women. She now feels so neglected by him and his lack of attention to her that she has to compete with his 11-yr-old daughter. Add to this some cultural baggage that guilts her into thinking divorce is so evil that even if her life is horrible and she is being cheated on and lied to, she must suffer with this man. for. life.

PS BGMs comment made me laugh out loud at work 🙂

I’m with Kate on this one. I couldn’t finish it but it was crazy enough to make me read most of it.
