They’re… ok. Because the instant pot steams them they don’t get really crispy. You could do them in the instant pot to cook them, then just stick in the oven for 10 mins at the end.

I got one as a gift but only used it once for chicken pot pie. It’s got lots of settings but I haven’t really taken full advantage. FWIW The potpie filling was done to perfection but the crust just came out soggy..

I’ve done two roasts in the instapot that were yummy. We did a turkey breast the other night.

We just tried this recipe for Butter Chicken in our Instapot and we LOVED it. The kids gobbled it up (over rice). Sooooooo delicious. We will definitely be making this again: https://temeculablogs.com/easy-instant-pot-butter-chicken/

We also tried this recipe for Beef Stroganoff which also came out delicious. This is my son’s favorite: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/258468/beef-stroganoff-for-instant-pot/

Over the weekend I made the maple dijon chicken recipe from Skinnytaste that I linked to on the previous page. I used my Instant Pot on the slow cooker setting. Didn’t work at all! I made the meat with the intention of shredding it for sandwiches for lunch this week, and didn’t notice that my chicken was still pink until the next day, when I was meal prepping/portioning out food. It was easy enough to zap it in the microwave the finish cooking it, but TBH I was annoyed that it was undercooked when it had cooked on high for hours.

@Copa, it was on high and it still didn’t cook? Damn. I tried slow cooking with the IP once but I did it on low, which is basically just a “keep warm” setting, I later found out. I figured medium corresponded to low, and high would correspond to high. I love my slow cooker, I have to be honest that my dad got me the IP as a gift and I didn’t particularly want it. I’ve used it for pressure cooking a couple of times and liked it.

Yep! I cooked it on high following the same slow cooker instructions. Not sure what went wrong. It wasn’t totally raw, but it was definitely undercooked. My kitchen is actually a pretty decent size for my renting a one-bedroom apartment, but I want to declutter and felt like I could donate my Crockpot if my Instant Pot proves to be just as good. At this point, though… nope!
