    I think we all have racial biases. I have them. It’s not the same as being racist. No one is calling anyone here racist, fyi!

    OMG. She wrote that she willingly kissed him! Explain to me how that is assault? She regrets making out with him!

    If someone is about to kiss you, unless you are being restrained, disabled, or incapacitated you have methods to disengage. Not that that is at all what happened here.

    Just caught up on this thread, and wow! Add me to the “this isn’t assault” side.

    Putting that aside, though, LW, if you are feeling this distraught over what happened, I’d urge you to seek the help of a professional, like a school counselor or therapist. They’ll be able to help you cope and teach you how to disengage when you’re in situations you’d rather not be in. I also hope you’ll use it as an opportunity to address your underlying racism, because yikes! Even the edited down version made me cringe.
