She probably went to some cheapo place in the outer suburbs instead of a proper place. There are lots of them like that in Sydney but you don’t go there for that sort of thing, just dodgy lip fillers and keratin treatments.

Weird, her eyebrows look fine in the “original” pic. What she requested is ugly, imo, but what she got is absolutely batshit. But hey, there were those guys going around injecting cement into people’s butts. You have to do your research. You get a tattoo in an old school bus behind a divey restaurant in New Hampshire in 1994 from a shaky-handed alkie who doesn’t change needles, you’re gonna get a hot mess on your left tit and count yourself lucky you didn’t catch hep-c.

I would love to get my brows microbladed. I don’t really need to… They look perfectly fine when I fill them in. They are just a little spit sparse in a few spots.

But yeah… do your research before you choose a place.

Is the bottom left pic the one of her original eyebrows? If so, I can’t really tell what they looked like. Assuming the bottom right is what she asked for, I like it. My eyebrows are naturally pretty thick, to the point where I’m asked if they are filled in when they’re not, and that’s close to the shape I aim for (and almost always fail to achieve). It also sounds like her “after” pic is from day-of, so maybe hers will look better with time like Wendy’s?

TBH, I don’t know why anyone would consider microblading unless they literally don’t have eyebrows. For most women, it shouldn’t be too hard to work with what you have using a pencil, powder, or wax — with most beauty-related things, I think the vast majority of people look best when they work with what they naturally have.

That’s what I’m saying. Regardless of the shape, she had plenty of eyebrow, it looked like. So just learn to shape what you’ve got and fill in if necessary.

I can’t make heads or tails of the pics. Frankly, ALL the eyebrows look bad.

SO, I like the blogger/website Paleomg for her recipes. I recently started following her on social media, and one thing I noticed about her appearance was that her eyebrows tend to look like someone drew them on with a Sharpie. Looking back, this was not always the case. I wound up Googling her because I was also struck by how she seems like a truly miserable person to be around when I watched some of her stories on Instagram. One of the first hits I found was a bunch of people tearing her apart on GOMI, and someone recently linked there to her post on her eyebrows/microblading, which it sounds like she did because she hated how her eyebrows looked at the gym or something pretty vain/stupid. In any case, she’s an example of someone who I think went way, way, way overboard with the microblading when it was unnecessary — it looks like her first attempt at it came out much more natural, but she wanted a more prominent/defined brow and now they look bad and unnatural, in my opinion.

@Copa I just looked her up and umm….I really like her brows. I have really dark brown hair, tend to nearly always wear black liquid eyeliner, and have naturally whisper thin brows that I fill in heavily or they literally don’t show up in pictures and my face seems off. My dad, who always tried to convince me to wear less makeup, once saw me with one eyebrow done and one not.

Dad: “See! The one on the left looks beautiful! You don’t need makeup.”
Me: “Dad, that’s the one with makeup.”
    Dad: :/

So basically….natural is best for some people, and some of us are cool with a heavier brow. But I’m totally team don’t-go-budget-on-a-face-tattoo!

I notice it in her videos, when the camera is super close to her face, moreso than the pics — I think they’re too heavy for her even though I have a high tolerance for heavy brows because mine are naturally dark/thick. There’s something I find super jarring about her face when she’s vlogging from the gym with minimal make up but super dark, precise, heavy brows. (I think she uses the “pretty filter” on SnapChat for that, though, which won’t help.) TBH I find something “off” about her hair color, too. I haven’t been following her on social media for too long but the longer I watch her videos the more she seems like a vain mean girl who is ALWAYS in a mood, and I find her more and more off-putting. But I like her recipes!
