I’ve been trying to streamline my wardrobe with a lot of basics, and some high quality pieces. Have any of you heard of and tried MM.LaFleur? It’s mostly on-line, but they recently opened a showroom in my city where you can work with a stylist, pick pieces you want and they’ll send from their showroom. There’s only a few showrooms across the US. So, if you live elsewhere, they do this Bento Box thing. Anyway. Just curious about it.

I haven’t tried it, but a good friend of mine raves about it. I trust her opinion on these things – she’s very chic and has a hotshot consulting job in DC. The only downside is apparently it’s pretty spendy. But for high-quality office basics it seems like a good bet. (I’ve only done StitchFix and while I got a lot of things I liked, I wouldn’t use it for “high quality basics”.) I’m considering trying out Nordstrom’s Trunk Club at some point too, so if anyone has experience with that, I’m all ears!

Thanks Vathena! I’m glad to hear someone liked it. Yeah, the pieces are a little pricey, but I figured if I do this once every few years, no big deal.

I’ve used it, and I went to their pop-up shop in Chicago this past fall. It was a good, although I was disappointing they don’t carry tall sizes. However, my stylist was a very tall woman as well and she picked out a few of the pieces that were typically longer or the length didn’t matter. I really like some of their stuff, it’s super high quality, but it is expensive

Thanks MG! You are tall. They opened up a permanent store here now. I’m def curious, but I also know I’d probably be dropping a grand plus for a few pieces.

Just reread my first post and I was apparently doing multiple things at once, with all the grammar errors.

Anyway, I will say that ever single piece that I purchased from MM has been complimented by numerous people, strangers and colleagues alike. I’ve been wanting to get these tight pants in a green from them but kept holding back. Now I think they’re out, which stinks.
