Ok, Eligible is next!
I’m currently reading Rules of Civility by Amor Towels and really enjoying it so far. I’m less than halfway through but I’m really into it.
Also, my go-to author to recommend (along with Anne Patchett and Curtis Sittenfeld) is Kate Atkinson. Life After Life & A God in Ruins are my more recent favorites. Behind the Scenes at the Museum is also very good.
And of course anything by Margaret Atwood.July 14, 2017 at 4:34 pm #693725
The site’s not letting me log in, but: if the OP or anyone is into sci-fi/fantasy, check out “The Prey of Gods,” the newly-released debut novel from Nicky Drayden. Gods and robots in South Africa. A fun read.July 14, 2017 at 5:24 pm #693726
I’m at the beach, and am reading this thriller, which sucked me right in even after two champagne splits. I wouldn’t say it’s amazingly well written, but that’s not its point.
Also picked this up at the drugstore and it’s really pretty and smells lovely:July 19, 2017 at 8:11 am #694143
I wouldn’t classify All the Light We Cannot See as light, but I also enjoyed it 🙂
The Night Circus is one of my all time favorites. The imagery is stunning.
I loved all of the Liane Moriarty books I’ve read: Big Little Lies, What Alice Forgot, and The Husband’s Secret.July 19, 2017 at 8:20 am #694147
A Man Called Ova. – Best book I’ve read in recent memory.
