I think they watched too many years of Fox where they were regularly told that Fox was the only news site they could trust. Now they no longer trust Fox either and so they are left feeling that they can’t trust the news. The paranoia worked for years for the republicans but now it’s starting to come back to eat them.
I’m wondering how the old, white men, who fought WWII and voted for Trump feel about him now. They defeated the Nazis and now they have a president, that they helped elect, who supports Nazis.August 23, 2017 at 11:02 am #698051
Trump is mentally ill. Beyond that actually… This is no mild case. He is a danger to everyone.August 23, 2017 at 11:09 am #698052
Oh yeah. More and more people are speaking up and saying he’s completely insane or has dementia. This isn’t just a personality disorder, it looks like serious mental illness. And I don’t know, I’m sure that’s wrong to say and offensive to people with mental illness. Probably no one should try to diagnose, but they should definitely make him have a psychiatric and physical evaluation. Immediately.August 23, 2017 at 3:32 pm #698084
There is something seriously wrong with him, and it’s getting worse, not better, and it’s just bizarre that everyone who could do something about it seems paralyzed. The solution is fairly simple, really: if your grandpa (or any other loved one) was acting like Trump acts – consistently unhinged, erratic, angry, ranting in a word salad and unable or unwilling to acknowledge the truth – then you’d make him go to the doctor for an evaluation and presumably none of your loved ones have access to nuclear weapons. I’m sure that as hard as it will be for the GOP to have to deal with the fact that their own candidate is mentally unfit, it’ll be much, much harder for them to deal with the fact that their candidate started a race war, a nuclear war or both.August 23, 2017 at 3:36 pm #698085
Looks like the Mueller investigation is wrapping up / reaching a conclusion, and people in the know are predicting a sudden resignation from Trump. Hopefully from Pence too, because he may be more scary. I pray that if Dump goes down, Pence goes down with him.
Idk what that would mean for the next few years, but get ready.August 23, 2017 at 3:40 pm #698086
What do we think the timeline on this would be? TBH, that gives me some hope.August 23, 2017 at 3:42 pm #698087
@kate: What’s the source on the Mueller investigation wrapping up? I haven’t seen that!August 23, 2017 at 3:45 pm #698088
I spend half my day reading business and tech news while I ramp up at my new job, and my feed throws politics in too.August 23, 2017 at 3:46 pm #698089
Thanks!August 30, 2017 at 1:09 pm #698834
Really gotta love how somehow he even made HARVEY all about DIM. Er, I mean, him. Whatever. Same difference.August 30, 2017 at 1:27 pm #698836
@bgm, he has only the biggest, most beautiful hurricanes. Epic hurricanes, like nothing the world has ever seen before. Everyone should marvel at his yuge hurricanes. But he’s definitely going to eliminate all those Obama regulations so everything that’s rebuilt can easily be destroyed by the next hurricane, which will just be another fluke, not a “fake news” climate-change catastrophe.August 30, 2017 at 1:28 pm #698837
Yup, as a meteorologist, it really makes me mad. Not to mention that earlier this month, he issued an executive order that revoked an Obama-era directive that had established flood-risk standards for federally funded infrastructure projects built in areas prone to flooding or to the effects of sea-level rise. He was saying the priority was for everything to be built quickly. Sure, and then have to replace it 10 years later when it floods.
