“Wendy’s Weekly Picks” is a feature in which I highlight stuff I like or recommend in the worlds of fashion, gift ideas, home decor, makeup, websites, entertainment, and recipes. Of course, many of the things I link to will be affiliate products, which means I’ll receive a commission on any click-throughs or purchases you make through the affiliate links. As always, I appreciate your support! Here are my favorite finds this week:
I have found the world’s best stoner snack and it’s called Funky Chunky (I wouldn’t have qualified it as a stoner snack, per se, but with a name like Funky Chunky, you sort of have to.) My favorite is the peanut butter cup popcorn (“Crunchy popcorn, peanut butter cups, peanut butter, chocolate and peanuts sprinkled over for good measure,” omg).
Have you ever heard of Hue lights? I hadn’t until a couple weeks ago when I was in Chicago and we went to a friend’s house who had them. I complimented him on the exceptional lighting in his apartment and he said, “Oh, it’s Hue lighting,” and then he proceeded to show me how he could control the color (like, every color of the rainbow and then some) and intensity of each light bulb from his iPhone. What? The future is amazing!
I got this dead sea mud mask on a whim the other day and have used it twice so far and really like it. It was also fun to scare the kids when I went to tuck them in at bedtime. Highly recommend.
All the thin, relatively small-boobed women in Brooklyn this summer are sporting tank tops with big armholes that show off pretty, pretty lacy bras like this and this and this. I wish I could pull off that look, but, alas, my triple-Ds prevent such a thing.
Speaking of things I cannot pull off but which look beautiful on other people: this dress just went on sale and one of you aforementioned thin, small-boobed women must get it.
The Nordstrom anniversary sale continues for one more week. Here are few more picks from the sale: this duvet, a beautiful (and practical) wedding gift, one of my favorite bras (big-busted gals, this one’s for you!), I bought Joanie this really cute dress to wear this fall, and I really could have used this for many a potluck and picnic!
