Best Bridesmaid Gifts of 2015

giftIt’s wedding week here on Dear Wendy, and, to celebrate, I have some handy-dandy wedding-related gift guides to help you find the perfect gift for the brides, grooms, bachelorettes, and bridesmaids in your life. A popular convention around bridesmaids’ gifts is to give something that you’d like your bridesmaids to wear during the wedding, like matching necklaces or fascinators. Boo, I say. The point of a gift is to give something you think the recipient would enjoy and appreciate . . . and maybe use beyond the occasion of your wedding. With that in mind, here are some of my favorite bridesmaid gift ideas of 2015 — gifts your bridesmaids will actually like receiving. Unless they hate awesome stuff.

I love these sweet tea towels. Pair with some tea (I like David’s tea) or some fancy chocolates or a box of handcrafted caramels.

How adorable are these ceramic mini mason jar shot glasses? Perfect for espresso, desserts, and of course, shots!

A pretty Vera Bradley cosmetic bag (Etsy also has a bunch of cute cosmetic bags. I love this one). You could add a few goodies inside, like this Essie lovely sheer nail polish set, a beautiful smelling travel candle (I love this brand!) and super cute matchbook, and some lip balm appropriate for a wedding celebration (or any special occasion).

I love these Kate Spade stud earrings with so many different colors to choose from to complement your bridesmaids’ different hair and and skin colors. I also love these studs and these, too.

Oh, and little bowl to keep them in. (DW readers can use the coupon code DEARWENDY to get 20% off their purchase until May 31, 2015!).

Personalize your gift with these initial pendant necklaces. Simple and pretty enough for everyday wear.

This “depth of friendship frame” would be perfect with a favorite photo of you and your bridesmaid(s).

And if you’re putting together a few smaller items, how about a little favor bag to present them in, like this sweet bridesmaid bag (made by the same artist who designed my DW tote bags!).

I want everything on this list! So fun. Maybe I’ll save and send to my mom next year for Christmas and just tell her to do this.

I bought my bridesmaids a chocolate covered bottle of wine and a gift card to a store they liked. The place that sells the wine actually pairs the chocolate and a flavoring that compliments the wine. I was able to tailor it to each bridesmaid’s unique tastes. They loved it.
