Call for Submissions

Hey, did you know I accept submissions for publication? I do! And if you have a relationship-themed essay or article you’d like to share, I want to hear about it (especially if it’s a unique story!). Popular guest submissions in the past have included: “My Life as a Prison Wife,” “Six Reasons to Try Polyamory,” “15 Ways to Tell if You’re Being a Bridezilla,” “I’m in an Arranged Marriage… and Loving It,” “I Have it all … Except the Husband.” Previous guest contributors report feeling a sense of “Yahoo!” as well as, “Woah!” when seeing their writing featured on DearWendy.com. They’ve also received a spike in traffic to their own sites, as well as funny comments from trolls.

If all this sounds fabulous to you and you want to get in on the action, please send your submissions to wendy@dearwendy.com with “Submission Pitch” in the subject line. Please only pitch your idea (not the actual piece) and 1-3 writing samples (or links to writing samples). If your piece has been previously published, send me a link to where it was published and let me know whether you own the copyright. I will try my best to respond to every pitch submission, but if you don’t hear back within three weeks, feel free to send a follow-up email.

You should offer up a wordcount guideline. 🙂

I’m gonna submit a 1500 word poem about love. Something as deep and powerful as a Nicholas Sparks novel. Bwhahahahahahaha.

Can it start with “There once was a man from Nantucket”?
