I may have already had one or two Gin & Tonics when I filmed this newest episode of Drinking with Dear Wendy…
Ingredients:
2 ounces of good gin (I like Hendricks)
3 ounces of good tonic (Fever-Tree or Q Tonic)
Slice of cucumber
Lemon rind
Gin is my booze of choice and G&T’s are my jam on a summer night. Once the weather turned hot about a week ago I started to crave one. Being pregnant this summer I had to look up how to make a alcohol free G&T. Turns out it can be fairly closely replicated.
Wendy, I know you’re on the wrong coast for this product but IF you can get a bottle of Rogue’s Spruce gin, you might like it. It’s my favorite gin. As the name states, it’s made with spruce not juniper berries and has a bit of a softer taste. Plus I know the brew master at Rogue Ales and he’s a very cool dude. Rogue is based in Newport, Oregon and also has a pink gin.

Haha! You almost make me want to drink g&t, almost. “Rim the edge…” Cheers, Wendy!

I never thought to rim the edge, brilliant idea!

I second the vote for Q Tonic or Fever-Tree.
