As you schedule your local DW meetups, can the organizer please email me to let me know the date/time/place so I can announce it here on the “main page” for anyone who may not check the forum regularly?
I know there are two Chicago meetups planned:
(1) Thursday, Feb. 9, 7:00 pm, at Bella Luna Cafe, 731 N. Dearborn (River North-ish). (See http://bellalunadelivery.com)
(2) Saturday, March 3, 1:00 pm, at Lady Gregory’s, 5260 N. Clark (Andersonville) (See
Are there any other meetups set in stone yet? Let me know here in the comments and I’ll update this and post reminders periodically.

I’m in Chicagoland, too! Though I don’t know if I can make these. My social anxiety usually keeps me from meeting actual people I know, let alone strangers.

Once I get places, the wise-and-witty take care of themselves. It’s just the “leaving the house” part that gets in the way. I dunno, I probably need pro-help, but no one makes house calls anymore.

OMG I THINK SO TOO (that came off desperate). Although my Uncle DOES live in Virginia…… and a few family members were thinking of visiting him later his year…….I have no idea where in Virginia though. Maybe near the Pentagon? Is that near nova?

Haha yes, the Pentagon and NOVA are basically one and the same. NOVA is a huge place, of course, but if you’re ever in VA – LET ME KNOW! It would be fantastic to meet up.

Yeah, NOVA is just what all of us lame Northern Virginians refer to Northern Virginia as. It includes a few entire counties within like…45 minutes of the DC area from any given direction.

Yeah NOVA is pretty much everything within an hour’s drive of DC. You know I briefly tried to get people in hampton roads to call it SOVA but it never caught on. Guess I wasn’t cool enough to carry it. /shrug

Wendy, It’s looking like the NOVA group will be meeting on Saturday, February 25th at the Union Pub 201 Massachusetts Ave. NE Washington, DC 20002. We have not locked in a time yet as we still need to hear back from a few more.
All, If you’re in the NOVA region and interested in the meet-up, then please comment on the NOVA meet-up thread in the forum so we know you’re interested and to make sure you get included in the coordination effort.
