(If you look closely, you can see me in the background, watching the Olympics, drinking a G&T, and probably working on the site. I like to multitask.).

Side note: I had a 5k last night and during that 3rd mile when I tend to get a bit tired, I kept thinking about all those swimmers breaking records and racing as hard as they can, sometimes within an hour of their last race! I said: MG, whats 5 more minutes? Sprinting to the finish hurt so much, but I finally broke my PR!

haha i was watching the olympics while on the treadmill and i kept getting tired and then i would look at them and be like if they can do that i can do this. i think i need to start watching competitions all the time while exercising.
and congrats on the PR! 🙂

Thanks! It came at a good time, despite the oppressive heat.
I can only imagine what Track and Field is gonna do.. maybe it will motivate me to do pushups and ab work while watching?

I love running on the treadmill during football games… I think the exact same! Like that guy just ran for an 80 yard touchdown… I can definitely walk another mile, haha.
Although I have to admit I have zero olympic spirit. I can’t handle watching it. You only get to see the Americans – so it’s like how do you know who’s winning if you only get to see one team compete? It’s like watching March Madness but only seeing Syracuse. What? So strange.

I used that trick a few weeks ago- I was watching the Tour de France while running on the treadmill… It made the running a lot easier!

Also Wendy – I kind of want to hang out with you and Drew. I can watch the site for you – let you know who’s being a jerk (unless it’s me – obviously I approve of my own jerkiness) and you can drink and watch TV. I can laugh at Drew being ridiculous, and I can also watch Jackson. Pretty much I propose that we become friends.

Let me know the next time you’re in NYC and it’s a date.

Drew, you are hilarious.

Watching Drew do the swimming warm up made me think he might pull something. My husband has been pulling a muscle every other week at the gym and that’s probably why my mind wanders in that direction. 🙁

Haha I thought the same thing. It looked painful!

Oh and Drew you crack me up!

I’m really mad at NBC right now about the freaking gymnastics last night. I just wanted to see Gabby win the gold, but they kept cutting in with other stuff, and I ended up falling asleep before they showed her final event! What the heck, NBC?! Don’t they know that tons of little girls (and 31 year old women who drink wine), can’t stay up until 11pm or later?!?!
I am still mad. That’s all.

How awesome would it be to pretend to be *fencing* someone while you’re talking to them? I mean, especially the annoying guy in every office that always has to over-share. He interrupts you in the hall, and you instantly take that pose with one hand high over your head, and then start pretend stabbing him all over with your other hand repeatedly.

Oh my god, that was so funny and adorable. Thanks, Drew – and Wendy, for posting!

Thanks painted_lady glad you liked it!

This is so hilarious! I love these videos.
I especially love Andrew’s rendition of the different ways the swimmers warm up. Mostly because I was just watching the Brazilian guy (forget his name) in the 50m warm up and he slaps himself on the chest.

Multitasking is so much more effective and motivating with a gin and tonic!
