Go See “The Quitter,” Opening This Weekend

My good friend, Bill Gullo, who met Drew back when they were freshmen at Syracuse in like the 1680s is a screenwriter and wrote the screenplay for “The Quitter,” a new indie movie opening to a limited release this Friday. When a failed baseball player’s ex-girlfriend moves back to the neighborhood with her seven-year-old daughter, he realizes he carries more regrets than how he handled his baseball career. What follows is his earnest, awkward, and at times ridiculous fight to become the father he never was. Sounds like the makings of a Dear Wendy letter! If you live in NYC, you can see it starting this Friday, September 12. Elsewhere, check your local listings in weeks to come. Congrats to Bill on another opening!

That is so fucking cool! And now I can say I know Wendy whose husband knows a filmmaker and that basically means MY BEST FRIEND MAKES MOVIES!!!!!!!!!

I’ll definitely check it out when it comes to Chicago. Also, I really like the song over the trailer.
