I was released from the hospital last night! We even got to our hotel in time to catch the second half of “The Bachelorette” before I crashed for 12 hours. Today, we’re just going to rest and spend a little downtime with my family whom we, unfortunately, haven’t been able to see much of on this weird visit. Tomorrow: Brooklyn!! I can’t wait to sleep in my own bed and love on my cats.
Thanks, again, for your prayers, thoughts, vibes and what-have-you. It was so scary to go through something like this knowing the baby was at risk the whole time. According to the doctors and nurses, he’s just fine, but I’m a nervous mamma and won’t breathe a real sigh of relief ’til he’s born healthy in about 2 1/2 – 3 months. Until then, I’m going to rest and take it easy. And eat ice cream. I haven’t had real ice cream in almost two weeks and I’m crazy overdue here…

I’m so glad you’re feeling better! Also, may I suggest (if you can get it) Kentucky Delight Ice Cream by Blue Bell? Pralines, pecans, brown sugar, and chocolate… it might just be the most delicious ice cream ever.

I am a Ben and Jerry’s Karmel Sutra lover myself…just fabulous…but then again, if it was totally acceptable, I would just eat plain caramel topping instead if ice cream. 🙂

I don’t know, I found a ridiculously delicious ice cream: Denali Extreme Maximum Fudge Moose Tracks. I only wish I were kidding about the name; it sounds like something a 14-year old boy should eat. But it. Is. Amazing.

Glad you’re all better! The parental worry is just beginning. We woke the other night to find that our son wasn’t home yet so ended up calling him just to be sure he was okay before we went back to sleep. I don’t mind if he gets home at 2:00 am, I just want to know that he’s okay.

One should never underestimate the restorative properties of ice cream! So, so, so relieved you and little Wendrew are headed back to being healthy. Take super good care of yourselves – you’ve only got a couple more months before you get to meet him and see for yourself that he’s just perfect!
