Happy Thanksgiving to all of you who celebrate! What are you grateful this year? I’m thankful for so much, and on this one-month anniversary of losing our Simone, I am especially thankful for this little visit from her yesterday in the form of a rainbow in the hallway that slowly shape-shifted into a cat. Joanie has been really missing her this week and it’s been hard for her to understand where Simone is and what it means when I say, “We can’t really see her the same way we used to, but she’s around. She’s watching over you and us.” Joanie was the one who spotted the rainbow yesterday and when she saw it take on the shape of a cat, she knew for sure it was Simone saying hi and now she feels so much better. Thank you for the visit, Simone!
And thank you to all of you for continuing to be part of this community for going on eight years now! Next week I’ll post our seventh annual DW holiday book drive and I thank you in advance for any contribution you can make to that. Your presence here means more to me than you know, and I wish you all a wonderful holiday.

Making pumpkin pie, which I never make so we shall see. I am a great baker but don’t like pumpkin pie so never make it since I can’t test to see if it’s good. My neighbor gave me a pumpkin to bake with a week ago so it’s not canned. Fingers crossed.

Happy Thanksgiving.
This year, I’m thankful for my strong, never wavering support network. Between some hardships at work and some minor health problems there are people in both worlds that lift me up. For that, I’m thankful.
I’m also thankful to finally be cc debt free. It was my own doing, but damn, it finally feels good to not have to worry as much about having enough money. And to be able to do more things for those less fortunate that I was able to before, such as monthly donations to PP, friends and families fundraisers for various causes, like Down syndrome and cancer, and contributing to a fun vacation with my nieces and nephews.

Happy Thanksgiving Dear Wendy! I’m thankful for the site and the the funny, insightful, reactive, interesting, chit-chat, advice, stories, and ideas I’ve gotten to read on this site over the years. I’m thankful for the regular commenters, even the ones who don’t like me all that much. I’m thankful for all the commenters who have taken some of their time to give me thoughtful advice and encouragement.
