Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! What are you up to today? We swung by Drew’s office (30 Rock) to watch the Macy’s parade, which was fun. Now we’re back at home and Joanie is napping and Drew and Jackson are making Thanksgiving place mats for our table and I’m drinking some coffee with Bailey’s and getting ready to do some cooking for our dinner later. It will be just the four of us this year, and I’m grateful for a nice, quiet day (and weekend) after what has felt like a busy and emotional few weeks.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Here in my country, we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, though a lot of people from the US that live here do, so it’s not weird to find cranberry sauce and turkeys in the supermarkets. I am going to a Thanksgiving dinner hosted by my BF’s grandma, who lived in the US for 50 years and now lives here, since July.
We’re on maxium alert because of Hurricane Otto, people were sent to their houses because of this. This hurricane was supposed to be the first hurricane to strike our country directly since 1851, so we have been in full preparation mode. We never have hurricanes here, maybe some indirect influence from some, but never a direct one. So, the feeling has been that of maximum alert and a little bit of fear, also. The hurricane just touched ground in Nicaragua, so didn’t touch our country, but we’re still feeling really sorry for our Nicaraguan neighbours. And the north is affected also, but our government’s response has been really good. Hopefully everything will go back to normal this weekend.
