The kids and Drew and I are upstate with some friends enjoying one last hurrah of summer before school starts up again next week. (There’s a pool and a treehouse here; the kids are in heaven!) Joanie will join Jackson as she begins pre-k and he starts third grade, both at the same school – hurray! For the first time in eight years I will have 30 hours a week without a wee one in my care. To say I’ve been looking forward to this next stage in our lives is an understatement. For so long I’ve been fantasizing about all the things I’m going to get done with this huge increase in time to myself, I just can’t wait. But for now, we’re soaking up the final moments of summer, and I hope you are, too. I’ll be back with a new post on Tuesday. Until then, have a great long weekend!
(P.S. The pic above is from our trip to Missouri a couple weeks back; I thought it was too cute not to share!)

What a beautiful picture. Enjoy the next phase of your & drew’s Life. Each is a joy & a challenge. My babies are 16 & 33. Loved all the changes & challenges.

Enjoy your much deserved free time!
Here’s an idea — go see a matinee of ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD. The ending simply knocked me out in that it was so unexpected and simply stunning.

I hope you’ll enjoy this, the next stage in your life. Fingers crossed for a smooth transition to school for both kids.
