Here’s the clip of my segment on the “Today Show” this morning. I wish Hoda would have said the correct name of this site (at least it’s right on the chyron) and I wish I didn’t appear quite so jazzed to be discussing neighbor pet peeves (you’d think someone just told me there was a store-wide 75% off sale at Anthropologie or something), but overall I think I did okay for my debut panelist gig. If I ever get asked back, I hope next time I can do a drinking segment with Kathie Lee.

I was wearing a lot of eye makeup, which I never do, and I stopped dying my hair when I got pregnant so it’s a lot lighter these days.

It is, but it’s faded a lot in my old age and I’ve been dying it a deeper red the last few years. The color it is in the clip is its natural color though. I’m debating whether or not to go back to dying it once the baby is born. I like it better darker, but it’s expensive and time-consuming and I doubt I’ll want to keep up with it when I’m caring for a kid full-time.

Wendy, I really like the color of your hair in the video. If I can give you my two cents, don’t dye it anymore after the baby comes 🙂 It looks much better than the picture 🙂

Agree with milli, your picture looks great but at this stage in your life I think dyeing it would look like your somehow in denial. Anyhow, your looked great in the clip and we’re all happy to have a voice to “hear” when we read your prose. Great job that and nice to see and hear Drew also, but the clip was way too short. (hugs)

Good job. I may use your advice next time I see my neighbor:
“Oh, hi. I couldn’t help but notice the other day, it sounded as if your girlfriend was in the standard reverse cow-girl position. One thing I find helpful is the big spoon-little spoon position. You get more control and it allows her to turn her head into the pillow to mute her screaming for those instances in which you’re doing it right. Anyway, just thought I’d pass that on. Our neighbor problems tend to be noise and more noise. One neighbor had an outdoor birthday party this past weekend and played loud music until 3:00 am. All the other neighbors have been grumbling. We have another neighbor whose kids ride ATVs and dirt bikes nonstop for 12 hours at a time, often after everyone else is in the area has gone to bed and then they finish off the evening by shooting large fireworks that sound alot like a canon.

Nice job, Wendy. It was funny to hear your voice; it didn’t sound at all like I was expecting so it threw me for a whirl. I’m not sure what I was expecting. You have a nice voice. Not that I was expecting you to not have a nice voice. Oh I’m going to stop talking now. In short, good job. You’re very poised. Jazzed just the right amount. I wish Hoda and Kathy Lee would shut up more and let others talk.

I don’t think you could have picked a better dress! You looked absolutely gorgeous. I, too, found your voice to be really pretty and you seemed to be so comfortable despite being in front of the cameras with those crazy-fast talking women! Your advice was great, as was your delivery. Kudos!!
