More Stocking Stuffer/ Secret Santa Ideas

Christmas is two weeks from today! For those of you who still have holiday shopping to do — or are just getting started — don’t forget to check out my holiday gift guides for some great suggestions for all the men and women in your life. If anyone needs help buying gifts for your kids, a generous DW reader would like to help someone. Also, to you sweet Canadians who asked if I could get an Amazon.ca affiliate link, I’ve got one now! You can click the widget on the sidebar (below the ModCloth ad) or bookmark the direct link, which is: ;

Since I wrote the holiday guides, I have some more stocking stuffer ideas I thought I’d share (these could also do well as Secret Santa gifts):

For Da Men

I got Drew some Richer Poorer socks for Hanukkah which were featured on Fab.com a few weeks back. I’ve never heard a man go on and on so much about some socks! If I’d have known they’d be such a hit, I would have bought 20 pairs! They’re no longer on Fab, but you can find them here (or at their home site, of course).

Stainless Steel Ice Cubes for whiskey lovers who don’t want their booze watered down. (Good for women too!).

Vosges Mo’ Bacon Caramel

Universal USB Charger

Red tartan plaid bow tie

Key bottle opener

For Da Ladies

Happy Hour pill case

Pretty, pretty luggage tags

Retro Rosie Earrings

Rosebud three lavish layers lip balm (who doesn’t love this stuff??)

Best hand cream ever (I used this constantly when I was a florist to keep my busted hands moisturized): Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners Hand Therapy

Wendy, I shop on ModCloth constantly, I am so glad you have an affiliate link! I’ve already bookmarked you Amazon link, but I don’t see the one for ModCloth. It says “Thanks For Shopping Through My ModCloth Affiliate Link Below!” but I don’t see a link, only plain text, and I really want to save it. I run Firefox, if that helps troubleshoot this at all…

I actually don’t have a direct link like I do for Amazon, but if you click the ModCloth ad to get to the site, the special elves there will know to credit any purchases you make to my affiliate account. Thank you!

I don’t see the ad either! And I’m not running any ad-blocking software. Oh well. 🙁

Bhahahaha. I am going to start considering popping xanax happy hour too. Seems much classier. It’s the new wine.

I use my fiance’s whiskey stones in my white wine all the time. I like my wine super chilled and with the stone it doesn’t get diluted!

Have you ever tried frozen grapes in white wine/champagne? They look so pretty and its fun to eat a few too, they taste just like Popsicles!

My mom and I did the frozen grapes thing in Canada while we were on our wine tasting tour and it was amazing. Drink a glass of wine and get rewarded with grapes!

Re the lip balm, I can’t seem to get past the idea of dipping my finger in a tub as being gross. Is that just me? Makes me feel like I miss out on 1/2 the lip balms though.

this lip balm is worth the finger dipping. i use a tissue over my finger to get it out. i’m probably a little weird though. really though that lip balm is amazing, i always have one of the minted rose ones on my desk at work.

Someone should invent a dipping stick! I like the tissue idea though.

they have lip brushes that are meant for lipsticks/glosses/accoutrements that could work as a dipping stick for lip balm

I hate lip balm in tubs too. I never need lip balm in the bathroom so I can’t wash my fingers first- I’ve been touching door handles, money, debit machines- yuck! Then afterwards I have balm on my finger. I also don’t like putting lotion on during the day at home because the perfume will make my food taste weird and I worry about getting oils on my clothes.
I also count my banana slices for my PB & banana sandwiches so that I get the right amount of slices. My husband says I have OCD.

Ooh, I had one of those once. I always lose them though, or let them hang out too long in my purse (where they magnetically draw dirt & loose tobacco, becoming totally un-usable)

Keep your makeup stuff in a ziplock bag in your purse!

They have retractable ones too – it is the only thing that saves me. Though now I think Fabelle is some sort of cowgirl if she has loose tobacco in her purse.

haha, I know exactly what she meant. All the loose pieces that fall out of the pack. Makes for a nasty mess in the bottom of your bag.

Vosages chococlates are seriously delicious. If you haven’t tried them, you’re missing out. Plus, the person behind the chocolate is a very friendly woman from Chicago. I’m all for supporting local business women. And men, I guess.

I haven’t used the steel ones but the soap stone ones work nicely. We have used them in Whiskey and in my wine and the flavors don’t seem to transfer. Plus the soap stone feels cool.
