A couple of months ago, I sent out a bunch of postcards to DW readers who have donated to the site and passed along their mailing addresses. (The drawing of me on the postcards was done by DW reader call-me-hobo, by the way). Some of the postcards — maybe 15% of them — got to travel around the world, including the one pictured above, which found a home in Antwerp, Belgium, on a reader’s lovely new fridge (seriously, isn’t that the nicest looking fridge?). I posted the picture on my Facebook page and a few other readers shared photos of their postcards in the comment thread. I thought it would be fun to invite others who might have saved their postcards to share pictures of theirs as well (or you can email your picture and I’ll post it). And if you feel inclined, you can share the name of city where you live, too.
I still have some postcards left, so, if you’d like one, just email me your mailing address. You don’t have to be a donor to the site for this round.

I had to Google Antwerp (you know, I’m American) and wow that city looks beautiful! A beautiful fridge *and* city! I can’t wait to get home and (i) find my postcard and (ii) take a picture for you. Everybody, send in a picture, I want to see where you live (and improve my geography knowledge).

Everybody: That’s a great idea, Addie!

Everybody: we’re on it.

I also shared mine. I live in Braintree, MA, which is just outside of Boston. My fridge is also not one I picked. We live in a rental, so it came with the unit! I love that we all have our postcards on our fridges!

I shared mine on the facebook post. And I live in Madison, WI… the greatest city on earth 🙂 But I don’t have a beautiful new fridge. Mine came with my house and I’m too poor to replace it so far.

Duct tape. Works wonders.

genius!
also, did you know i thought it was “duck tape” until like 2 years ago?

Duck tape is a name brand version of the generic product-duct tape. The factory is near where I live and there is a Duck Tape festival every year, with floats and costumes and such made out of duct tape.http://www.duckbrand.com/products/duck-tape

Ah good, well on the record THAT is the duck tape I was thinking about! 😉
