Reader Recs: Emily’s Favorites

Dear Wendy readers are some of the most intelligent, stylish, super-cool people around (it’s a proven fact), so it’s a no-brainer to feature some of their favorite products. Fun fact: Emily and I used to write a product/shopping blog way back in the day, like, 2005-2006, where we shared out recommendations for cool stuff. She was the resident beauty junkie. I have a serious lipgloss lipstick addiction. This is my current favorite one. I have four or five of them. My favorites are the nude colors, tbt and namaste. They stay on and don’t feel heavy. I like how smoothly they go on, too. Writing this makes me feel like a doofus, but what can I say? I like lip stuff!

Have you checked out Glossier yet?! I love everything they have. They send anything you buy in the cutest packaging ever — which I am a sucker for. The boy brow is maybe my favorite thing from them — it fills in brows so nicely and also keeps them neat all day (if that’s an issue you have or maybe I just have unruly eyebrows). Since I have two dogs I have to share a pet recommendation — these are the world’s most stylish pet beds made right in my neighborhood in Boston! I love all the pattern choices and sizes and the fact that the covers come off and can be cleaned. I haven’t bought one yet, but I’ve been stalking them for a while trying to decide which pattern we need. The chevron technicolor is sooo cute.

My newest obsession is enamel pins. I started collecting them this summer and, if you follow me on Instagram (@prettycrabby), you can join me on my weird pin journey! It’s cool because I’ve discovered so many amazing artists and totally fallen into an Internet rabbit hole I didn’t know existed. A few of my favorites are: tuesday bassen; PenelopeGazin; and Little Arrow.

Lastly, my final recommendation is my favorite podcast Throwing Shade. It’s hilarious and you should be listening. I just saw the hosts, Erin and Bryan, on their live tour and they were awesome. They talk about feminist and gay issues in a really entertaining and informative way. I love them!
