My baseball bat boss was also fired, but it took several years. I was long gone by the time it happened.

And yeah, I believe it was on AAM that I read that it can be pretty hard to be hired as a people manager from an outside org if you have no experience with it. I’d not say it’s, like, my dream to manage people, but it feels like that’s how you move up. I wish I could move into this kind of role from within an organization — learning how to do a new job and how to manage others at the same time seems like a lot!
