I did talk about things like project oversight. I’ve never had direct reports, but I’ve had junior employees or people in other departments work on things I manage and have had to provide feedback in that context. One question was very specifically about rebuilding a team. That’s where I feel I have zero experience. I talked about workflow inefficiencies I’ve worked to improve, but I’ve never walked into a role where I’ve had to essentially blow up and rebuild a department. So yeah. I don’t think I’ll get the job, but also… it sounds like a headache/not something I want to do.

ETA: Not sure if this is true across the board, but my company has had a hard time with hiring lately across all departments. I am kind of wondering if it’s the same with this place. If I had experience with organizational rebuilding, I feel like that’d be on my resume as an accomplishment. IDK!
