Reply To: How do you know when it’s time to leave your job?

We did recently hire two new staff members in the department I’ve been taking on added work from, so I’m also hopeful that I’ll be less frustrated at work soon-ish. We hired a new manager for that department last fall and his husband died like two weeks ago (at 41!) and he’s understandably not fully present. (Even I had a hard time concentrating at work when I found out his husband passed, and I never even met the guy!) I’ve spoken with the director of that department and he did warn it may not be as fast of a transition to offload work as I may have hoped, but it’s definitely happening. And I do think that will present some internal opportunities but still kind of waiting it out.
