I’m not saying you gotta break this off, but if there is something about your partner that causes you dread, and you don’t feel that you can address it head on… that is a pretty big sign that this relationship is not long term.

See if you can talk it out – but I hope you don’t end up apologizing again for putting your own needs first when he was supposed to be supporting you. I have to say this just screams “Pay attention to me! I’m helping you and you have to acknowledge my kindness by putting all of your attention on me!”
