Reply To: Cheated and guilty

We ended up talking again and decided we needed a break, that could possibly lead to breakup. I had a very depressive episode a few weeks back, which kind of triggered the deep thoughts of regret and guilt, and since my mental health took a toll we decided it’s for the best.
The affair was with someone I was close with, a best friend that my ex boyfriend had strong feelings against, at it wasn’t until a very very drunk night that anything happened, it was pure platonic on my part, until it simply wasn’t. I think maybe that’s why I feel so guilty, because although I wasn’t in love with the guy, he was still a very important person in my life
