There’s a lot going on here and I definitely think some therapy, if it’s in the budget, would be really helpful. There’s a lot of hurt here, all around, and being left out of the will is just a small part of what’s going on, and what has been going on for, what sounds like, a very long time. The relationships are more important than the inheritance, but the inheritance – or lack thereof – may be a symptom of fractures that cannot be repaired. If there’s any chance of repairing the relationships, therapy is going to be pretty essential. And if there’s not any hope of repairing the family relationships, therapy is going to help you navigate that grief.
