I mean, I just read your post once but to me it sounds like you demand total honesty and openness, but no one owes you anything, not even a partner. You know your partner has MH issues with this very issue, but you’re mean to them about it? That’s not cool or something to be proud of. If you have issues with honesty or something, work that out with a therapist. Not in a relationship with a person who is clearly not doing well with your version of communication. To me it sounds like you’re controlling, badgering and maybe even bullying- especially if you’re pestering them during sex, only to turn on the lights and find them crying- this is alarming. How do you greet your partner when they are very emotional? Are you consoling or defensive? Look in the mirror. Love your partner, or leave them well enough alone.
