Roe has been overturned. Women’s bodies are now more regulated than guns are. Our reproductive rights have been stripped, and even rapists’ victims, the daughters of incestuous fathers, mothers of unviable fetuses, and pregnant people whose pregnancies risk their lives will now be forced to give birth in half this country or come up with the expense and time to travel to a state that still recognizes women as fucking humans capable of making decisions for themselves. I am sick as I know many of you are. Here are a few things we can do:
1. Donate to abortion funds, especially in the South.
2. Donate to clinics moving to states that will continue to have abortion access, and support clinic workers.
3. Volunteer to provide practical support.
4. Get and share information about self-managed abortion.
Please add any other ideas in the comments!

Fuck. That is all I’ve got. Fuck those fucking motherfuckers. ACB is going to burn in hell.
Their are generic plan b on Amazon right now for $10 and there are states that have codified abortion into law, like I know NJ has and others. But goddamn I’m pissed.
I screamed “Mother fuckers!Fucking fuck!” really loud and it didn’t help much but it fell useful.

*There
that’s how angry I am. My grammar is even worse than usual.
Rangerchic June 24, 2022, 2:33 pm
When I heard the news this morning, I just wanted to bury my head and stay home. I am so angry. What’s next? Birth control? I fear they will try and make birth control harder and harder to get or even illegal.
I’ll check out the links and see what help I can provide.
I’m in Colorado and back in April the Governor passed a law to keep a women’s right to choose in place.

Intrauterine devices and any form of hormonal contraception that is alleged to prevent implantation of fertilized eggs is going to be banned in red states.
Dear Wendy June 24, 2022, 5:32 pm
Yes, and also gay marriage. Clarence Thomas already said so in a concurrent opinion today. Interracial marriage would be on the chopping block if Clarence werent in one himself. I hate this place
Kate June 24, 2022, 6:20 pm
He said gay relationships too, I think!
Dear Wendy June 24, 2022, 6:37 pm
He did.
Anonymousse June 24, 2022, 7:09 pm
I just read his opinion. Relationships are on the fucking chopping block next, I am just shocked.
Is this like revenge of the evil boomers or what? The last grasp at control by making everyone criminals? I worry about the privacy implications, too.
ktfran June 24, 2022, 7:19 pm
The husband thinks it will be gay marriage then IUDs and Plan B and the like.
I cried this morning. Involuntarily. I knew it was coming. Now that it’s real. I’m can’t.
Between this, the Maine decision, the NY decision.
And to top it off, I’m 3000% sure republicans will take back the House/Senate these midterms, I’m deflated.

Please please work to get people registered to vote. It’s the only way. There are lots of ways to get involved with as little as 15 mins of time. 🙏

It is sinister and it seems insane to watch from Europe. The USA, nation of liberties, ruled backwards to coercion by a bunch of puritan fanatics… So tragic that millions of women have to be directly impacted. It seems that religious zealots are more organised for voting. The legacy of a president whose term ended with an attempted coup.
The worse is that it will be very difficult to reverse. In Europe, there is now a move to engrave the abortion’s right in the constitution, so the USA become suddenly a counter-model, “only in America”… Pathetic. I am in solidarity, appalled like you all. I hope that there will be ways to reinstate it.
Kate June 25, 2022, 10:58 am
Don’t be so sure it’s not going to happen in Europe.

Someone should ask Clarence Thomas if he also supports a return of slavery, since he has such a passion for stripping people of hard-won rights. I am boggled by his stance and ACB’s. How can a woman vote for the removal of her own bodily autonomy. It’s just incomprehensible.
Kate June 25, 2022, 7:03 pm
Here’s what I don’t totally get about him. His wife is white, and he is teasing getting rid of interracial relationships as well as gay ones. Like would his marriage to Ginni still be cool or…?
Helen June 25, 2022, 4:10 pm
I’m at the end of my reproductive years, so I’m furious at losing my rights, but not worried about an unintended pregnancy. But I have a 4yo daughter and I’m terrified. My first thought was to get her a nonhormonal IUD around when her first period starts. But fuck they’re going to ban that too!! Wtf. We can’t prevent or terminate a pregnancy. I’m horrified. I’d move to an actual first world country if they’d take me
Kate June 25, 2022, 7:00 pm
Canada just said they’ll let us in for abortions.
CanadaGoose June 25, 2022, 7:27 pm
I have to wonder how many people that will actually help. Our medical system is crumbling. Access to care is getting harder all the time. However, there are already discussions going on to try and figure out how to absorb an influx of women seeking abortion care. We’ll have to find a way.
Kate June 26, 2022, 3:31 pm
So what’s really going on here, I’ve heard of multiple right-wing people just coming out and saying this… They’re trying to make sure a lot of white babies keep being born, so that black and brown people won’t replace white people. Like, yes, black babies will be born too, but they believe the majority of women having abortions are white. And Black babies, well, there are mortality issues, and there’s incarnation.
This is a weapon for white supremacy. I used to think it was about keeping women in their place, keeping poor people poor, keeping minorities down, but I think now more and more it’s about Replacement.
Kate June 26, 2022, 3:34 pm
And the gay and interracial relationships too. It all comes back – in their minds – to more white babies.
Anonymousse June 26, 2022, 5:34 pm
I agree with you. It’s been their agenda for years.
Kate June 26, 2022, 6:28 pm
*incarceration, not incarnation!
Copa June 27, 2022, 12:35 pm
You’ve got people like Rep. Mary Miller calling it a “victory for white life” (https://www.npr.org/2022/06/26/1107710215/roe-overturned-mary-miller-historic-victory-for-white-life) and Sen. Cornyn tweeting at Obama about Brown v. Board. Both are said to be “flubs” but I mean…
I’m frustrated by the lack of outrage among men.
Also, I’ve been donating. My home state a 1931 law banning abortion but enforceability is unclear, so there is a ballot initiative to put reproductive freedom in the constitution. I donated to that cause and will continue to make donations because UGH.
Anonymousse June 27, 2022, 1:38 pm
Yeah, seriously, where the fuck are the men on this? I’ve seen some men, like black men and gay men speaking up about this, but not many straight, cis, white men on the whole. It’s crazy.
Imagine if this had anything to do with men’s bodies being regulated.
And the court just keeps rolling through with these bonkers rulings. Fuck.
Copa June 27, 2022, 1:54 pm
I’ve seen men “like” things on social media and that’s about it, but social media activism is often performative and about the least anyone can do. I’m only on Instagram at this point but still had to take a step back from social media for a couple days.
Moneypenny June 27, 2022, 2:56 pm
I keep wondering if men don’t realize that this will also potentially put them on the hook for child support!
Kate June 27, 2022, 4:43 pm
Some men on my Instagram are showing outrage, but they ALL should be. Plenty of women aren’t posting about it either, and I have a very small Instagram circle without anyone in it who’s an asshole. I actually unfollowed this woman who’s a friend of my husband’s and definitely a Republican… she’s pregnant and made some totally tone deaf post about her pregnancy, with a pic of her in her home gym, complaining about some discomfort or whatever, which, fine, but like read the room, Karen. This was literally on the same day as Roe being overturned.
I think a lot of people don’t know what to say. It makes me feel bad that I didn’t always post stuff after George Floyd was murdered, and things like that. I should have.
Finally… the Uvalde school shooting. I have such a bad feeling that the police didn’t try to go into the room for over an hour because… the kids weren’t white. Like, I get that the officers weren’t necessarily either, but it’s just… in general these fuckheads especially in Texas, they want WHITE kids, not Black and brown kids.
Copa June 28, 2022, 9:27 am
I’ve mostly been silent on social media. My Instagram has become an echo chamber of everyone (by which I mean women, though to be fair I probably follow more women than men) sharing the same posts and memes to their stories and I can’t handle it even though I agree. I left FB awhile ago and don’t miss it, I’m sure I’d have gone into a tailspin on there.
I voted early in our election yesterday and I guess at least that felt like doing something?
Copa June 28, 2022, 9:43 am
Also, just emailed the org I used to volunteer for the be put back on their list of active clinic escorts, though kinda wondering if they’re at capacity with volunteers.
Anonymousse June 28, 2022, 9:46 am
I didn’t mean on social media. I was at a party this weekend. I don’t know, I just feel like I’ve had so many more conversations with women and not so much the men. Like women were clutching my forearms in fear (maybe the booze, too?) It’s probably an awkward topic. Who wants to think about it? I don’t want to but I cannot sit this one out.
Anyone secretly hoping satanists start educating in public schools, where we’re now free to pray? WTF. The extremists have won. I hope we start taxing churches.
Copa June 28, 2022, 10:01 am
I guess I only socialized with my boyfriend, sister, and dad over the weekend and I did discuss with the bf and sis. I haven’t really been in a group situation with friends to see how people are discussing this in my social circles. Most of my friends are liberal women, though.
I have a group chat with a few friends I made while living overseas with a kid and I’m the only American in the group. They wanted to discuss and I even had to take a step back from that conversation.
I am still very distracted at work, though luckily things slow down for us as we roll into July.
Kate June 26, 2022, 3:32 pm
Also, I just saw a man walking down the street in a pink t-shirt that said Abortion is a Human Right, and yes, good for him!

I live in Mississippi. I fear for my girls. We are horrified. Then we have our idiot of a governor crowing about “more strollers being pushed and more little league games being played”. They will come after birth control next and gay rights third. I fear for my friends and their marriages – had a long discussion today about how to protect their spouses should their marriages be overturned.
I am disgusted by some friends (who I am going to lose) who justify this outrage in the name of the Lord or the tired line that the Feds had no right to make the decision in the first place and all they have done is return the decisions to the states and what their citizens want. Um, F*&^ NO- I never voted for the Mississippi Trigger Laws – oh wait – no one voted on them – they were decided by a bunch of men sitting in Jackson.
I am disgusted and horrified and angered and saddened.
